When US won in 2007, they loved the judging system; but when they lost, it’s the system that left lots of room for cheating. Chinese swimming doping scandal was shameful for the nation's sport image. No doubt about it. As a result, China has improved a lot in anti-doping effort, so they could come clean afterwards. However, Jones was the featured anti-doping and fair-play role model in US. Glorious!

nobody cares about Jones here - unlike China which has only had one track star ever we have had hundreds of them. Our legacy of champions is so deep and wide it is an embarrassment . . . of riches.
Nothing to feel shame about. It's whether you are caught or not. All of them are doped. The sports history is history of making enhancement drugs one step ahead of detecting them.

That's good sport, and what sports is supposed to be. Like I said in another thread, with medal heavy swimming and track & field, I don't think China can out-medal or out-gold-medal US. But it's fun to watch competition at the highest level. Unfortunately, certain character has to spoil every single China related thread with his/her trolling.

The USOC doesn't pick it's crop of four year olds every year to compete in the Olympics 20 years in the future. American athletes get to these levels on their own, there's no conspiracy. If they use drugs, that's their choice.
