I think he should take the kid out shopping or something. It's not like he kicked her legs out from under her and made her bust her head open. He probably didn't even know there was a kid in there. He should apologize, take the kid shopping and be left alone.

Shouldn't stand in a runners lane. She'll learn.

Why the heck is a 14 yr old in a Mascot costume. Those things are hot and extremely dangerous.

In fairness, he didn't know it was a 14 yr old girl. Probably thought it was a midget and it's socially acceptable to push a midget.

Yep. In highschool it was usually a Senior in the Mascot. I don't believe we had a Mascot in Middle School. We were the Trojans. :p

There are a lot of kids on this forum. When they grow up they will probably understand that it isn't particularly funny to treat other people badly.

So you're saying its okay if the mascot wasn't a kid?
If I were the mascot I'd tear off the costume and kick that self-entitled douchebag's ass.

He's the Kevin Garnett of track and field.

Just reprimand him after the Olympics, way too much outrage over an isolated incident in the midst of a stressful moment.

If I had a daughter... I would not let her dress up like a maxipad and dance around a track and field event.

Dude may seriously have some sort of post-furry stress disorder. Maybe KingCheetah could enlighten...

    Poor Kid and Poor Mascot.

Wasn't this runner hugged when he was little?

Honestly, I see a lot of grown up people that find childish things funny.

Probably cuz of the people they grow up with when they were kids I guess.
