So we talk a lot about theology here...and dogma....and all of these concepts we try to box God into even by using a word like god to describe him...or "him" to describe him....and we make him/it/she/whatever so much smaller than I think He really is.

If you don't believe, I believe He loves you and created you anyway. If you do and you're really super-duper religious, I believe He loves you and created you anyway.

But I'm always struck by the story of the blind man who was healed...and the religious leaders questioning him asking him to draw some sort of theological viewpoint from his experience...and his answer was, "I don't know about all that...but I was blind and now I can see." Some find faith in situations..some don't.

I saw this video and thought of this thread....because for all the discussion of theology and dogma and emperors and kings on donkeys and Nicea-visiting bishops....I'm not sure any of it matters much to these people in this video. You'll find that they may see God in places where it could be explained as something else....but they don't see something else...they see God. Perhaps they're wrong.

Thanks for sharing that, I had not seen it. Working as a producer at Daystar Television, I see these kinds of storys often. It amazes me how much faith in Christ can accomplish. I work with former homeless drug addicts, dealers, Pagans who were into Goddess worship, you name it, I've met them and work with them. They all say that they would have never changed if it weren't for their newfound faith in God.

I get really tired of the argument that religion has costs more lives through war than anything else. I do believe it has done way more good than harm. My company alone has given over 35million in funds to orphanages, hospitals, food distribution and other ministries throughout the world in the last 10yrs, and it pains me to see people point out only the Negative aspects of religions over the centuries.

Thanks again for posting that inspirational video.

Tracking with you on all that....but I'd point to Jesus and not religion for those good things you're talking about! :)

Man it's tough reading the Bible. I've resorted to a website which gives 10+ translations of each sentence (including the "simple translation").

Trying to read Acts, taking me forever!

Out of the billions of religions you could choose from, Why is christianity the "correct" one?
