Teen movies kind of evaporated in the early to mid-90s, so I don't resent the kiddies for liking this stuff now.
I do like James Stewart, but Wonderful Life is overrated, in my overly brash-style opinion. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EnOhNHYcfZI?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EnOhNHYcfZI?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Bad Day at Black Rock (1955) with Spencer Tracy, Ernest Borgnine, and Lee Marvin. Great, great flick. Moody, intriguing, with amazing locales. The Great Race (1965) with Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Jack Lemmon, and Peter Falk. Sure, it's silly and unrealistic, but it sure is a lot of fun. Around the World in 80 Days (1956) with David Niven, Cantinflas, and a young Shirley MacLaine. A great snapshot of the world from a time long gone. And more cameo appearances than any film in history.
SJC, it's just one of those things we will remember: when you loved the sound of your car. I had a 66 mustang, and typically all you heard was this: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2wD64vlMxLA?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2wD64vlMxLA?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Savannah Smiles, was a big movie back in the day. Orca: the killer whale, I remember seeing this at the drive in. :smiles:
As I remember it, people were enamored with this film. It caused a big stir. Probably not a guy film, but it was big none the less.
Please tell me you have some obsession with Brooke Shields. Or the dude. Because that movie was awful. AWFUL. I recall Kristi Mcnichol doing some Pirate movie getting me more excited as a preteen and I don't even remember what the hell that movie was.
Lol. I've told people this was Seabiscuit and Secretariat before they came out. In fact, I wanted to eat seaweed in my first sushi restaurant due to this movie. Good call! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnPGOXjEv54
