Just some FYI. I didn't get any email from you. I don't know if it was just me or if RM95 and Crisco didn't get anything either. You may want to try and send something to them again.

Wow, I'm surprised Paul wants back in with Smeg not returning.

Historically, BBS drafts generally take between 2 to 3 weeks to complete.

No, both you and NWO are definitely in, the last two I am still a little nervous about because I need to give Crisco and RM95 one last chance to let me know if they plan on returning. I sent them one last email from the website to see if we get a response.

However, I will set the draft order by this Wendesday, so they have till then.....

We will look to start the draft here in this forum on Wednesday, August 23rd. That is 2 weeks before game 1, so hopefully we will be able to complete it, no reason why we shouldn't.

had lunch with him friday, he was keen, he has the advantage he can get to the site during work hours, i can't which makes it tough to draft, as i said to rocketball if it could be a fast draft then sure, otherwise really tough

Couple of questons about Paul, Smeg.

What hours (US time) will Paul be available to make his picks?

Does he have access to this BBS, or will he be making his picks on the site exclusively?

Can you mention to him to PLEASE send a list to one (or more) of us if his pick is coming up and he won't be around?

    Is he online on Weekends?

Why not start the draft as soon as the draft order is revealed.

    I don't see 20 rounds happening in 14 days.

Aug 23rd seems like it's cutting it a tad close. It's nice to have a buffer week between the end of draft and start of season. However, starting it immediately would be too early. Middle of August seems about right.

Can we start it on Sunday night, August 13th? I'm going to be out of town that weekend and I won't be back until Sunday.

Let's take a quick poll - would everyone prefer to have a quick live draft a few days before the season or a draft more typical to the way we normally do it, here in this forum and start that as requested on August 13th. Let me know...

Secondly, I am a little nervous with Smegs buddy Paul if we do a normal draft and Smeg can't participate. He said he was interested in playing again this year, however I sent hime an email to see if he would be able to do the draft, but have not gotten a response.

I should have the website set up by tomorrow - I just want to know prior to that which draft style you prefer, cause that will have some of an impact on who will be participating. Let me know as soon as you can - let's get this thing started....

1 vote for the forum draft.

I'm going that way as I have live drafts every Friday and Saturday for $$$ leagues starting on Agust 18th- Sept 2. Those beer leagues are fun but they take a whole weekend to finish.

Personal preference is the forum draft, but really, I'd be fine with either format. A live draft is good in the sense that, because it happens so late, nobody gets screwed with training camp injuries. Honestly, I could go either way.

I vote for the Live Fast draft.

During those long forum drafts, someone always fails to leave a list and keeps everyone waiting, usually wasting an entire day.

Heya, sorry I haven't responded. Haven't updated my bbs email addy since I switched ISPs(again).

Count me out for this year. Just don't have the time to devote to it unfortunately. Maybe next year if a spot opens up.

Everyone do your best to keep fade from getting the trophy.

Live draft would be quick and easy - get it out of the way.

    Smeg (a few questions),

It appears that more people want to do a fast live draft, if so, are you going to be back in it?

Are you going to run it again?

Can you do a live draft on the site, cause I don't see that option available? If not, then how do we do that.

    Question for everyone:

When would be the best time for everyone to do a live draft?

You can set the draft timer to whatever interval you want. So, on the day of the draft, just enter like 3 mins per pick or whatever, set the order, and then put the site into draft mode. It's no different from what we always do, except the timer is set for a few minutes instead of for 12 hours.

Makes sense... So now we got to pick date/time that works best with most everyone...
