I'm sure he respects and doesn't include Kast in the list of trash rappers Atl has produced.
When was the last time Luda put out good music? His last album was how long ago and IIRC they were like 1 or 2 good songs.
Young Jeezy and Joc are trash. What about Young Bloodz, D4L, Dem Franchize Boys, DJ Unk? Some of the best rappers from the Atl I bet.
Ti is Ti, I'm sure the OP wasn't including him in the list of crap rappers from Atlanta.

I got a headache from listening to that uneducated hip hop "artist." Seriously, I had my head in pain.

"How you gone write a song named 'F** the police then be on Law & Orda' n_gg__?" LOL! That wasn't ICE-T, silly kids! They could have wikipedia'd that one, too...

That Soldier Boy guy doesn't have lyrics or music. It's just recycled garbage.

If somebody can count the total times that kid says the word n_99a and the times he said "old ass" and the times he says "I respect you" but then showed DISrespect, I will show you my gratitude by contributing a decent amount of cash to the TIP JAR in your name. Amount of times saying the word "n*gg*"
Amount of times saying "old ass"
Amount of times saying "I respect you" but then turns around and disrespects him

Ludacris last album was like a year ago and he was one of the best for a long time. I'm just trying to make the point which I think you are too, Atlanta did not destroy rap. I disagree about Jeezy and Joc, though.

I actually think Luda is underrated. I think a lot of people make the misconception that you must be political, have a message, be positive, or some other good quality in order to be considered non-trash. That's just not true.

Soulja Boy is a joke. I've never liked his music, if you can call it that.

 

While I agree that Soulja Boy is crap, I do have to agree with Kanye's take. Hip-hop is about creativity. That kid wrote his own song and created a dance that everyone in America knew about, like it or not. I saw a youtube clip of some older white lady doing the dance with her kids. If he also put the beat down like Kayne said, then that's even more amazing. You may not like the music, but it's hard to be more creative than that.

 

I also hate how everyone is like oooooooooooooooooo these political rappers are so smart just cause they repeat a couple things they read in a chomsky essay.

Creating the soulja boy dance takes a lot more thought and originality than that.

I thought having a black actor was a good thing, progress made? Maybe it can't be "kept real", since reality changes, and the situations that used to be rapped about, aren't as prevailant and real as they once were?

 

The best part was Ice-T's son.

 

I think Luda is neither underrated nor overrated, he's just there.
He's a decent rapper that has done his thing. mlwoo, even if it was last year that his last album came out, I still though it was not good, just 1 or 2 decent songs, sorta similar to the last few albums from other rappers like Eminem.


Coco is nice to look at imho but she is definitely all fake. Fake T & A.
As much as I support Ice T on this, he didn't do himself any favours by appearing on Celebrity family feud this week.
