The question that has been bugging me for years is how Tecmo Super Bowl on the NES saved our regular season statistics and standings even after we turned the console off. There was no hard drive, no memory. What gives?
Well, if it was anything like the original Legend of Zelda, it did have a small memory chip in the game that was powered by a small disc battery. In fact, it is hard to find an old copy of Zelda these days that has a working battery.
