Must have been some crazy times in the 70's. An older co-worker once told me he would just walk up to girls he's never met and just say "Want to have sex?" and more often than not, they would say yes.

I assume you have to be attractive for that to work, if not you'll get sued or something

I believe you have the wrong decade. It would have been the 1960's, and something would have to be going on. A concert at the park, a festival of some kind, a party at someone's house, and some substances best left to the historical record. Otherwise, you'd be havin' either your face slapped, or a jolly laugh from the girl, followed by, "Don't you wish!" It's a truism of the world that you have to work a wee bit for what you get, and if you're lucky, you find a wee bit of heaven.

Saw this recently. Neil Armstrong teary eyed and awestruck after his first walk on the moon.

While it does have bumps, this very long bridge was built in 3 months (according to a veteran friend of mine). Look how long it takes construction to finish nowadays. This might have been the most efficient construction I have ever heard about.

I can't remember how long the original construction took, but it was more than 3 months. The link you provided refers to the rebuild in '96-'97, which was done very, very fast for such a large project. So fast that they didn't fix the bumps. ;-)-

I almost leased out the room Kennedy stayed in the day prior to his shot.

I opted for a different room, felt a little scared.

These pictures though, priceless. Absolutely amazing.

Call me crazy, but I think they were secretly told to have bumps to stop speeding ;)

I just reconvened with my golden oldie bud, and his memory was a little hazy. His point to me still stood, just a little exaggeration. I should have just added a "give/take" hahaha.

How are some of these photos so clear? Were cameras capable of that 60+ years ago?? Or is there some major remastering going on?
