Olberman is a r****d who should go back to doing sports. He pokes at O'Reilly who was a war reporter and says O'Reilly was just in a "shoot out" one time. What has Olberman ever done? LOL Oh, he was in a war, I forgot. He was at the Lakers Celtic championship battles in the mid 80's.

Funny thing. The Democratic party today would claim that we were slaughtered at Malmedy because we stuck our nose in other people's business and we were getting what we deserved because of our foreign policy. They would have deserted FDR and Truman during WWII. Can you imagine how they would have raked on Truman after the nukes?

You mean they can't find anything better to go after O'Reilly then this???

The Democratic Party ran WWII. The Democratic Party didn't have to worry about public opinion on dropping nukes on Japan, the country was already OK with locking up Japanese-Americans in internment camps.

The Democratic Party today is just playing the good cop to the Republican's bad cop. They are both paid by off by similar people. Some Democrats are even more hawkish against Iran then some Republicans. The two parties have a pretty good thing going which is why Congress is such a lame duck and let's the president wipe is a$$ with the Consitution.

Lol - you actually consider O'Reilly a "war reporter"? Maybe you also think he was truly incapable of actually serving due to those callouses on his ass.

Based on what? What actions of the party today do you base these claims? They have never suggested we don't go after Bin Laden because it was our fault and we have been getting what we deserved. They have not once suggested that our troops deaths is what they deserved because of sticking our nose in other people's business. So please provide for me instances where the Democratic party has shown a willingness to do the things you accused them of above.

As for Truman and the Nukes, he should have been raked for that.

Because you let other people label the party, and or don't understand their positions, please don't post things and pretend they are the truth.

So logical well thought out opinions mean nothing

Only your personal history - you 'proof' of your manliness on the battle field

    interesting . . .

I have no idea why you love guns so much but ask yourself what is the purpose of the Second Ammendment? If you blindly trust your government so much why not give up your guns and leave it to government to protect you?

This is the great contradiction that I see in your positions. You at once vocally defend the Second Ammendment and argue in regard to things like the chaos after Katrina that society and government can fail you at the same time you place almost absolust trust in the government to the point of accusing those who criticize of being traitorous and fifth columnists. Consider a couple of things:

The Second Ammendment is one of the Ten of the Bill of Rights that were presented and ratified as a whole. You cannot dismiss or diminish any of them wihout the diminishing the all. The rights of free speech, due process and the others are as essential to the defense of liberty as guns. In an infomation age possibly even more so.

If government can't be trusted on dealing with Katrina how can you completely trust them on fighting a war or guarenteeing your rights?

I will be happy to...It is true, I love guns so much..Que romantico! But to ask what is the purpose of the second admendment? Is akin to what is the purpose of any of the bill of rights...It is a right..., and this fact underscores purpose of any kind and from any reference whatsoever, I realize that...

Have I said I blindly trust this administration? I can post examples of where I demonstrate a disagreement with the administration and I might do so to serve the point in Sishir's eyeball...

Sishir said: I..."place almost absolust trust in the government to the point of accusing those who criticize of being traitorous and fifth columnists."

What Sishir fails to realize is I DO NOT place this absolust or absolute trust in the government...he is wrong and baseless in this ...again...mischaracterization. Sishir is a good poster, but his weakness is his ability to mischaracterize very easily...IMHO, of course... :D

Have I demonstrated this absolust or absolute trust? I feel the answer is "no"... and certainly NOT to the point of accusing those who criticize...Anyone can criticize. Criticize away!~...You don't see me going into the liberal slanted gang bang threads going Yo Decky, you a traitor and 5th column,....and FB, you too, bud...and Uh, yea glynch you all over that 5th column making love to it baby!, and that sneaky guy, what's his name splinter cell? Where is my Bushmaster M4 with laser sights to take that assclown out B!atch!!!!!

No you don't....But the problem is when these far-left type folks step into the political arena and become an activist with examples upon examples of questionable activity...then...you are compromising myself and my family's security...

    UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

IMO...IMO, Clinton failed miserably in many ways preceding 9/11...that is why I believe in the post 9/11 mindset.

    O yea...recent examples as promised:..Example #1:
The federal government has NOT supplied ALL the funds promised.

But that's outside of the point. They all suck. Politicians on both sides. The failures go back for years at all levels of government. The idea that either party would point with righteous indignation at the other makes me wanna vomit.
The Bush administration has handled this very stupidly as well ...BTW, keep this between me and you.

    ...and Example #2:
I'll just settle for an old school Republican. Right now Nixon looks pretty good next to George W. Bush.
I pretty much agree, one of the few things I agree with him is the post 9/11 mindset, and to that I think he could have done better on decision-making...Don't spread the word on this either...

    Roxran;

Sure you disagree with the government on some issues but you agree with them almost totally on the one issue that might ultimately affect your freedom and security and considering you post threads with titles "Like is the example you want for the Extreme left" that goes on railing about Fifth columnists certainly shows that you do believe that those who oppose the government are traitors, which is what a Fifth columnist is.

Youve even argued on several instances when others have pointed out the dangers regarding programs like the NSA and holding prisoners incomnicado that the government probably knows a lot more than us and we should trust them. That to me sounds like blind trust if your assumption is that the government just knows better.

Do you or do you or do you not trust this government in regard to your security even though you are accutely aware of many of so many failings. Wouldnt placing in ordinate faith in an institution that has proven to be seriously flawed in several instances be construed as blind faith?

Again the question bears asking: If government can"t be trusted with dealing with Katrina how can you trust them with protecting your rights?
If you trust government with your ultimate security and protecting your rights why metaphorically and litterally stick to your guns?

What is the one issue? Defensive issues...? Yes I agree with the post 9/11 mindset because the pre 9/11 mindset didn't work...Even with such an intelligent President Clinton for 8 years...Clinton utilized very smart plans. very smart. ...But, still failed...badly as well. As smart as he was, he just didn't have the right mindset to counter terrorism and the results speak for themselves...Counter measures were not focused on as they should have in hindsight.

I don't mind opposition, but when you get wacky such as those in the example of: Is this what you want as representatives of the far left representing yourselves type thread I started,...It was a litmus test to ascertain agreement. We can all say anyone has the right to oppose the government, but my mirror is showing whether you want these ideas in leadership, given that much of the arguments has been tried and proven unsuccessful under Clinton's supposed "tactics" against terrorism...We know the argument of no war whatsoever!, pro-communist government, Put Bush to death and other Republicans as well mentality is completely zany...It is a mindset that makes Clinton look like a far righter! Yikes!

It is a mindset, I want no part of and to that it concerns me greatly....

    The answer: You can't....

    what's the next question?

that would the mindset exhibited by Pelosi, Peter King and others in Congress, across the aisle, who voted against W's declaration that having the UAE to run US port would not compromise National Security.

UAE had known connections to bin-Laden. UAE's banking system had been financial intermediaries for $$ transfers for terrorists groups, including Al Queda. UAE ports has been tranfer points for WMD component parts for IRan an North Korea.

Yet, the "self-proclaimed" 9/11 mindset originators would chastise those who truly demonstrated a post 9/11 mindset. actions speak volume
