I'd have to agree with this. The Dream in 2K12 is deathly slow. It seems they thought he was just retro the 1993 version of Dwight Howard.
i'm not going to stop you from believing what you believe in. if you want to comment on anything I write, that's fine with me. just do a little more research to get your facts together. i can take some negative comments, i won't take it personal. Maxwell is my favorite player, if you haven't figured that out by now.
Amazing how often a Rocket got the ball when Olajuwon had the block. The first block, #10, he blocks the ball, keeps it in his hand, and brings it down to Sam. That may have been luck. Hard for me to tell, but Sam's right there. The second block, Dream clearly blocks the ball right to Cassell, an aimed block. How often do you see that in today's league? Dream did it all the time. And Horry? Can't we clone him or something? The man effortlessly gets the ball into the post for the easy dunk by Hakeem over the 7 foot Ewing. Wow! They made that look so easy, yet how often did we complain here about Yao not getting a clean pass inside for the easy deuce? I love seeing this stuff. And tinman, do you have to make every thread like this a personal back and forth between you and whoever you have a beef with? I'm frequently sympathetic, but it does get very tiresome after a while, you know?
1) Almost half of the highlights are defensive plays, which tells you what type of player Hakeem was. 2) Play #3 is still hilarious to me no matter how many time I rewatch it. Mason's confused look after Hakeem went superman on him is so funny.
#1 is definitely not a travel. #3 with Mason is a questionable foul, but really a tough call unless you study it in slow motion. #4 with Ewing is definitely a goal tend! I'm not trying to take anything from Hakeem. He is my all time fav for sure, but those calls are really really close. But then again, Jordan's #1 with Byron Russell is an obvious offensive foul when you take a close look at it...
Highlights were awesome, but by the rules of *todays* NBA he fouled on a couple of blocks and putback dunks. You can see his off hand pushing down on the opposing player's shoulder while grabbing the ball. Regardless that #2 dunk is still the sickest move I've seen to this day.
How anyone can come in here, watch that video, and comment immediately that Dream was traveling on a 'pivot foot' that barely set still, amazes me. I guess that stood out more than Ewing shoving him with two hands on the baseline reverse move? I mean, If you're gonna nitpick, the foul where he compresses Mason to the floor while elevating to the moon to redirect that shot downward was the obvious choice, but only if you're trying to troll. 'Fans'. meh. Awesome clips. Never ceases to amaze me how good he was.
Its not a travel. 99% of the time when players do that in the NBA or any organized basketball, the refs wouldn't call a travel. Anyway, stop hating. The man brought this city of Houston TWO championships!
he was in the act of shooting, so no travel. Its a simple as that. Think about it, no post would have a move if they could not jump after establishing a pivot foot. Its kinda "pivotal" to the low post game. . . .
sorry. calling a travel a travel is not hating. it's called calling a travel a travel. sorry. failed to realize that 99% of a the time a ref not calling a travel a travel makes a travel not a travel. not hating. love me some Hakeem. sorry. anyone who disputes DarkHorses breakdown and cant look at it objectively has issues with looking at things objectively.
Then every up and under move that is so fundamental is a travel. Anyone who tries to call that a travel has a fundamental lack of knowledge on how the pivot foot works. Sorry.
