I disagree. Hakeem made his teammates better at both ends. It took Hakeem some time to trust his teammates, but he made them better. He drew double teams that got teammates wide open shots. He allowed his teammates to gamble on defense because if their man got by them Hakeem could block the shot. I think at his best Hakeem equaled or surpassed Duncan at making his teammates better.
Robert horry said: Dream could guard guards, hit free throws Both of which Tim Duncan wasn't very good at
Yeah, he was very at guarding guards, especially 6'1 PG's. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/oVcSndz52DE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This is a great example where stats don't tell the story. Duncan has had a better career. Hakeem was a better player. Not sure how you can dispute that if you've watched both.
If you wanna be f'n stupid then fine: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/aS25dibHOR0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
1. why are you listing TEAM DEFENSIVE RATINGS in trying to prove duncan was better than dream? Having a great team and a great coach behind you can inaccurately skewer the advantage to duncan. Dream played for a buncha crap teams and a buncha crap coaches in comparison to Duncan who played with a great coach, great gm, great franchise, and multiple all star caliber players his entire career. 2. dream played in the defensive era of the 80s and 90s. duncan played in the pussified no defense hand check era. 3. duncan played in the weakest era ever by big man. complete opposite of dream who played in the greatest era of big men ever. 4. the ring argument has been debunked and explained already. cease and desist with that stupidity. 5. how old are you?
Duncan may have more individual accolades, but anyone that saw both play in their prime, without looking at numbers would say Hakeem was better. A lightning quick monster on both ends.
First, ignore radio talk show host. They are the original trolls. As far as Duncan vs Dream, I'd say Dream is a better player but Duncan has the better career. What works in Duncan's favor, however, is that his peak has been longer than Dreams, but there might be other reasons for that.
David Stern didn't ravage Duncan's team . Ginobli and Parker didn't get busted for cocaine. Ralph Sampson's career ending (now we know) injury. Spurs uniforms never get changed to some ugly pajamas.
Wow, pretty good at name calling. You know how I know Clutch is a LOH? Because he keeps calling people LOFs.
#1 is the greatest rocket fan of all. He knows who fake fans are. If don't love the rockets then why are you here ?
You haven't even commented on the two players here Duncan and dream. And your join date . Conclusion you don't even know who dream is.
Actually Clutch is not an LOH, he said to LOHs: "It might be easier if you take this to a LOH forum." LOHs will call Mr.1 LOF!
I know he is not a LOH, but he hates LOFs much more than LOHs. It is quite clear for everyone to see.
