So you're saying Dream had a total of 1,001,100 moves? No way. That's a ridiculously low number. I'm sure you meant he had 1,000 counter moves for each move and 1 million counter-counter moves for each counter move. That works out to 100 basic moves, 100,000 counter moves, and 100,000,000,000 counter-counter moves for a total of 100,000,100,100 moves. That's at least in the ballpark I think. (Somebody check my math. We may need to add a few more zeros.)
Yeah, the Clutch City Documentary: There's a link there and it works... I'd buy it but unfortunately they never released it to buy. This brings back a lot of good times and is a cool viewing/history of the Rockets and a must watch - especially if you missed out watching hakeem play in person (I fortunately got to go to games) or want to get a refresh on the history, lots of nostalgia etc. brings me back to those emotions when houston got their 1st and 2nd chip for the city.
I'd never seen this mix before as well and subscribed also. Hell, I'll contribute. This was a fun game, showcases Hakeem's intelligence keeping the defense off balance by constantly changing moves, skills, and athleticism. You also get a few nasty Drexler poster dunks.
I really hate that the owner dumped those beautiful uniforms it's like they dumped Kate Beckinsale for Rosie ODonell
i don't know why this thread is 5 pages long.... BUT... The move is seared into my memory, but i completely forgot it started with that f'd up Kenny Smith shot. Was the shot clock about to expire? Wtf was that Kenny?!?!
I'm not saying I dislike those uniforms. I certainly don't, and would be fine with a move back to them. I prefer them over basically all uniforms we've had since, though the current iteration is solid. At the risk of getting blasted though for the view, I never really got the "the classics are amazing! perfect, beautiful uniforms!" approach. I mean, i get it from a NYY, Lakers, keep it simple and classic vibe. But like it or not, those are iconic.... the Rockets aren't outside of old timers from Houston. I'd be fine with a re-brand... HOWEVER, they are likely to screw that up, so a re-brand back to the classic makes the most sense, since you'd think they can't screw that up. But I'd still be fine with an overall re-brand... IF they could not screw it up. And nothing crazy. Like no changing color scheme to something that makes no sense. The Project34 guy's stuff is always solid. His classic concept would be 100% a ok.
Dat footwork. Using his weigh to spin as he came down off the pivot... one motion... smooth... most of today's players don't use physics to their advantage the way Hakeem could.
