As some or many of you know, there's a guy who sells some rare games via http://nba-collector.webs.com/specialgames.htm Most for $30 a piece, except for the bold ones and pre-90s. If anyone is interested in getting together and buying games so we can split costs and share, let me know. As a group we can get a lot of great games. I recently bought: 92-93 Rockets vs. Magic 94-93 (14th win in a row) 93-94 Nuggets vs. Hornets 102-94 (Zo 36p, Mutombo 9 blocks) 93-94 Nuggets vs. Rockets 111-105 Double OT 95-96 Nuggets @ Mavs (Abdul-Rauf 39p - 8/11 3p) The quality is really great, DVD like!
Obviously the guy doesn't want these showing up on youtube or else he loses his business. Well if you can ask around, hopefully we can get 5-10 people.
That can be worked out later, first we need people who want to pitch in. So please let me know if you're interested...
I know it is cool and all, I just want you guys to realize it could get this site in trouble and none of us want that. DD
Well there's no other Rockets forum like this one and I figured a lot of people would be interested and responded by now. Then the thread could've been closed and nobody would've known Seriously though, if this would cause problems for clutchfans please close it. I am actually suprised how little interest there is on this forum to get hands on games. I figured watching the games was the most important thing and seeing some great matches of the past is what we all want right ?
The NBA owns all the rights to the broadcasts, that is why they give a disclaimer in every telecast. Unless you own the rights or have negotiated them from the NBA, then it says something like: "Any right to rebroadcast without the express written consent of the NBA, is prohibited" I am paraphrasing here, but basically they own the rights to all of those broadcasts. DD
email me when you're interested @ yellowwassenaar86@gmail.com since PMs do not seem to be working for me. Forget about it being illegal, we all do it
Don't worry, I checked, this guy has the implied oral consent of the NBA... Seriously how are people stunned at how illegal this is? Aren't you cued into the fact that homeland security is constantly pulling down sites that stream NBA games? Why wouldn't they go after a guy that actually sells them. While this service has novelty, I think anyone who actually uses it needs to get their heads checked.
