Again, as I said, he said that's the least desirable because of the burdensome recovery time and process, not because it's somehow will have worse lingering effects.
So how do you divine the future pray tell? Reason says that the best way to foresee the future is to look to the past. And yes, you did say that he would be mentioned in the same breath as the players I mentioned. You followed that up by saying he was a "great #1 option". Again, in this post you say he will be close to AD. Are you comparing him to AD/LeBron/Kawhi or not?
Nope. I said I think he soon will be. And I stand by that. Could I be wrong? Sure. But I think he'll soon be a 24 - 25 ppg guy who averages 11 - 12 rebounds a game. In other words, a top three center, and I believe an elite center like Emiid and Jokic should be mentioned "in the same breath" as the guys you listed.
You're moving the goal posts. But that is fine. Look, I like Wood. I think he should absolutely be part of the teams future. But I am not ready to put a marker down on him being an MVP and a superstar after playing exceptionally for 13 games in a messed up season after he has been given up on by 5 other teams. Detroit sucks, but they are an NBA team with professional talent evaluators. And that team decided they would rather low ball Wood (a guy who had spent a full season of practice and games with them) so that they could make a speculative signing of Jerami Grant instead. I just think expectations of Wood need to be tempered a little bit. I mean there are some here who actually thought it was a good idea to compare him to Hakeem. Blasphemy!
The D has looked solid but it was against a bad pistons and wizards team. And the. Against a Dallas and Pdx team missing 60% of their starters. I don’t think we know how good they are based on those opponents. The personnel would suggest we will have a top 10 D though
No, I'm not limiting the analysis to those two teams. We are literally the number one defense since trading Harden.
I'll admit I was doubtful about Oladipo after the first few games, but he was a lot better last night. I had no idea he was such a good defensive player. That is a big bonus.
Dipo was a brilliant defender In Okc . He was pretty damn good in his first year in Indiana before he injured his leg.
Oh brother. Better trade Oladipo at the deadline or you’ll see him walk for nothing. Max Contract demand is incoming!!!!
