I can imagine having a worse record than both HOU and OKC. That's good because it means we keep our own pick and OKC will swap with Miami.
Yeah, teams usually don't win when they have an elite defense and FOUR guys averaging 18+ points a game and just for fun you have a former All NBA big man and then on top of that you round it out with a complete 10 man legit roster in House, Nwaba, Tate, Tucker, Brown...and if that isn't enough, we have a ton of assets with all those picks we turned that loser into and if that isn't enough? https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/20...s-flexibility-in-draft-picks-trade-exception/ Stone says the Rockets picked up a large trade exception in the deal ($10M+) and they will be aggressively looking to use that...ChEap TiIlMAn
For one no one on this team is even close to being a top 20 player except Woods. For two we are a horrible offensive team. For three those assets we have arent that good. Four expecting Tillman to use that trade exception for this roster is very un wise LOL. There is nothing here that says we are making it out of the first round or the playoffs. And yes Tillman is cheap as hell. He's a trash owner and a trash person, but keep stanning him.
No, Im realistic. I want the chip. You want mediocrity. You like being a middle of the road team who never wins anything. Tillman only fans suck.
A Full tear down rebuild is the way to go. There’s more than a few guys on the roster who’ll need new deals after the season. I don’t know if Stone will pass on their possible trade deadline returns to pay a premium to keep them in the off season.
Maybe, but is it the only way? It is also an easy to understand, but unproven concept. Which team went down that path and actually won?
We did though. We've won 4 in a row actually. We keep doing it. It's like we can't help but win and shut all you tank lovers up. "Tanking cannot drive out tanking: only winning can do that." -MLKjr
I like you Don. And you know Im usually a homer myself. But this season does nothing for us, even if we somehow make the playoffs. The championship? Cmon man. Thats not even in the realm of possibility.
Funny. But for real, what is the plan? We all know how turning veterans into young talent that can blossom works (whether that is draft picks or just younger players), but what is the plan going your way? Admittedly it appears that the Rockets are trying to win as much as possible this year, but to what end? Do you really see them investing $100 million in Victor Oladipo? Is PJ going to get paid? Do they give Sterling Brown a raise? Why would they do any of that when that team's ceiling is a first round clobbering at the hands of LeBron and AD or Kawhi and PG? I want to understand so that I, as a fan, can move forward but I just dont get it. Are they just going to tread water until someone gives the Rockets another franchise player?
truthfully this is a sorry fan existence. all or nothing is a terrible way to approach life or anything in general imo.
