Let me guess: Fertitta is the easy scape goat for Rockets fans yet again instead of coming face to face with the fact (however that line goes) that the Rockets' FO has always been the clown of the league. They've given up farms for lesser players/scraps so many times. Plus, they're not very good at scouting/drafting players either.
He'll fit nicely on this team then. Think of all the insurance money Tilman can collect if wall, Dipo, Cousins go down together.
Lavert for Oladipo. Am I missing something? Lavert is the much better player and fits in smoothly with us. The Oladipo and Wall back court will be pretty horrendous considering both are subpar shooters. Lavert does it all at the wing and literally is a walking bucket.
Tank is the only clear path, it was always the only clear path after a Harden trade, if they're going to try to make the playoffs they're a bunch of idiots.
I like Dipo but we didn’t get anything else by giving them a younger player and why didn’t we keep Allen?!
Naw, he called it in another thread. He didn't want to believe it since he only knew about the Oladipo portion. treyk3 nailed it.
This is what you call a money saving scheme ....... Oh well let's see how this tank job goes. The Rockets will not be on my watch list for a while.
That will definitely help if we trade Oladipo at the deadline for more assets but I don't really know what we could get back? I feel like Lavert has more value and we could easily flip him in the offseason since he has 2 more years left at $17mil. Maybe if we don't trade Oladipo we will be a fringe playoff team and can do a sign and trade in the offseason? Think we missed out getting good enough value for Allen, Prince and Lavert . Still think Cavs and Pacers made out like bandits and it is kind of confusing how they pulled it off.
the lin and the curry stans will surely not bash victor oladipo surely. I know he is not herro, or duncan robinson... but he is a former all-star
They clearly valued Oladipo’s expiring deal more than having LaVert on a deal worth $52.5 million over the next three seasons.
