Should have kept lavert. Would have atleast had a young piece. Over valued a guy who was a free agent and said wanted to go to the heat. Why would anyone risk getting a rental and conversely why would Miami pay for a guy that they could get next year. Just a bad move all around. A first for him would have salvaged it somehow but no way to justify this.

If you don't accept that the Rockets are almost as likely to lose a pick in the top 4, you're setting yourself up for dissapointment. I'll be thrilled if they get lucky. I don't anticipate it. The team has a lot of bad juju surrounding it and I don't expect it to change.

this is something that i've brought up here several times and nobody has been able to give a reply...

why would silver send one of the league top prospects to this cesspool manure stenched organization? we're like the 90's clippers now, doing everything possible to save $$ in every corner. so why squander the league's talent under tilfuk?

Yea i get that and i totally expect to get disappointed too but the chance of the rockets winning 2 games in a row with the remaining schedule should be like 2,4% , lol

The pick swap is even lottery protected

Because it makes people rooting for losses think there is a silver lining at the end of it all. It's all a game of chance. The lottery isn't rigged and if it was giving Houston the first or second pick would be too obvious after doing it to New Orleans for AD.

WE ARE SO NICE TO OUR GUYS

WE SEND HARDEN TO BROOKLYN FOR PICKS THAT COULD BE IN THE 20S!
    PJ TO GIANNIS
    OLADIPO FOR FREE TO MIAMI

THEY HAVE TO GIFT US A PICK

when you say "The lottery isn't rigged", then you believe LAL landing the #4 pick a couple seasons back was legit?

    I don't think it's rigged.

    I think it's randomized.

The Knicks never got pick #1 while they tanked.

If it was rigged they should have gotten lucky once.

    I learned from you.

When the Rockets take the biggest loss of the year in May you can think of me.

But what teams are trading for this is specific scorer who is slightly overpaid and coming back from surgery or this specific big man due to be paid (who doesn't have a well rounded game. He can't hit a 3 pt in 2021. That is liability today.)

Who would be trading for these specific players right now?

Just saying a tautology doesn't make a trade partner materialize for these specific players, at this exact time, for these specific conditions; not to mention for the assets you believe they should command.

ok, and NOP landing the #1 pick same year was also "randomized" then?

    Yes.

but the odds changed to make things even tougher to predict with the new system.

If this was 2018 I'd be completely fine with the tank and would be certain a top 4 pick would be ours.

    The system is different.

Basically anywhere in the bottom 8 is reasonably likely to be in the top 4.

    You're a negative nancy.

I'll be back in May to celebrate or to go full heel and mock you dreamers.

what were the odds of LAL getting the #4 pick w/ the 11th worst record AND....

NOP getting the #1 pick w/ the 8th worst record?

fine if it's rigged, Rockets get pick #4.

Not well enough ran for a top talent and too bad to allow to fall to #22.

    We'll see.

    if it's pick #4 it's rigged.
