There was never anything value. The Rockets gambled he would bounce back quicker and better. It was bet that didn't pan out obviously. But let's be honest, no other option in the Nets was going to move the needle.
wont matter if stone is fired, the next gm that comes in will also be about cost cutting at all cost. tilman is the problem and you cant fire him sadly
LMAO at people thinking that anything will change with a new GM. Both of our GM's have uncoincidentally looked like Gomer Pyle since a$$wipe took over.
not opting for Dipo would have been the better choice. But yeah stupid decision buy the FO once again trying to save face
With the #1 overall pick, the Rockets select Jim Bob Cooter out of Meemaw State. I'm just preparing myself.
Did we do this to save 1.75 million? Because if so, this team is a joke. Wall about to get paid 40 million plus for the next two seasons for playing 50 games in two seasons and then Wood leaves.....man this is awful.
Could it be the system? Could it be the injury still having an effect? LeVert has had his share of injury history too. Regardless, here is a comparison. Make your own conclusion. https://stathead.com/tiny/yVaNd
Fired for following orders? I assume he's walking the line that the owner laid out for him... Morey obviously didn't like working under Tilman leadership, so he bailed on the Rockets onto greener pastures. Harden bolted likewise. Who wants to be a part of a remedial run organization like the Rockets. Maybe after Tilman sells the team, the Rockets may hope to employ some better hopes for this teams future. But this team had valued with the China angle, which has been torched and is just left to ashes blowing in the wind. Tilman is surely drinking tears of bitterness right about now.
But he's like a #3 on a championship team. Clearly, this wasn't Stone's goal... BUT... Given where we are, if the decision was trade him to MIA and probably move up next year (or not, if the Nets randomly suck, but that's good too), and maybe make the Heat better this year... BUT make the Rockets worse and solidify your shot at that top 4 pick, then that's a gamble to take. The complaint imo should be about what they got back for LeVert/Allen. As i mentioned earlier, MOST other teams would have backed out of the deal once LeVert's diagnosis was considered.
