Michael Porter Jr. or Tyler Herro would look better for the Future.

Victor Oladipo being 28 years old wanting Max Money can hurt the Rockets Long Term.

James Harden Salary and Chris Paul/Russell Westbrook/John Wall Salaries have hurt the Team in not acquiring better Free Agents or Drafting 1st Round Talent, always trading away Picks.

Rafael Stone is doing it the Right Way, Find Excellent Young Talent in Free Agency, Trade away Veterans for 1st Round Picks, Free Up Cap Room.

Injuries have destroyed him. He was a genuine two time all-star. He is nothing more than an expired contract. Stone made a mistake going after him.

This what I saw as well, Wall and Gordon where getting to the rim but Oladipo was struggling.

If Victor Oladipo was 22 years old from the Magic. Yes the Rockets Need to keep him but he is 28 years old and had horrific injuries over the years.

You do know he traded Levert and Allen to get Oladipo right.

That's the opposite of what you claim he is doing.

I think both would be more valuable assets and that's different from what I originally thought.

If the right trade comes along, like getting a legit small forward like Michael Porter Jr, maybe in a 3-way deal, I think you pull the trigger. I would even trade him if it meant getting draft picks in return. If you can’t trade him, then you let him walk in free agency to free up cap space to sign a better player. No way you give a player like this the max, though. Regardless of how he’s playing now, he’s not a max contract player.

For what it’s worth, Stone put the Rockets in a good position by trading for a player with an expiring contract.

I think Schroeder absorbed Olidipo's talents during their time together at OKC.

Dipo's defense and McCollum's offense would be a great combination. CJ creates nearly all of his own points on high volume and pretty efficiently. Victor isn't even close to that right now.

I'm going to watch closer next game but I'm not seeing some of these takes saying he doesn't have a first step and has lost explosiveness.

To me it looks like he's pretty much there physically vs. where he was before his injury when he was briefly one of the best players in the league, but something is just off with his shot/finishing/feel/etc.

He traded those 2 so he wouldn't have pay them later. It's about luxury tax savings.

We gave an extra second round pick for a shorter contract and LTS. How are you still falling for this.

    Who has an expiring contract.

He had to get somebody to make the money match.

Dipo is and was a descending player. He and teams know he isn't fetching much on the market.

In response to what I replied to, rockets won't be the one paying him and someone like allen still makes pennies less

Using the logic of they don't want to pay allen later so they moved him applies to dipo the same
