[OL] Steve Francis apologizes to fans

    I agree with MadMax.

    There are things I love about Francis. And I'm not just saying that as a presage to an insult. His in-game work effort is amazing. He's got heart. His willingness to take on responsibility is laudable. And, of course, he's fun to watch flying through the air.

    But he didn't change. Not in a meaningful way. He never really managed to develop a 3 point shot - something that every player of his size should do. He never learned to catch-and-shoot - something which most guys find easier.

    I think he was complacent with his game. And because of that, he had to leave (ok, and because McGrady can score more in an average game than Francis could in a good game).

    As for the ad: who cares? If he comes back with a 3 point jump shot and the ability to catch-and-shoot...then I'll change my mind.
