I suspect if Okur can command a 7 - 8.5 contract expanding by 10 or 12 % per year for 6 or 7 years then the obsession ends.

5.5 - 6 + 10%? I want him. More? let him fly off into the SUNSet.

Gee....judging a player by one playoff series vs the Fakers. Now that's something that has never happened around here before.

I think the playoffs have magnified his weaknesses. He's slow, not good at defending the perimeter or the post, even. He has Cato-esque hands. He seems to be like Boki in terms of having a good form but not being able to sink the shot. He doesn't seem to be a natural rebounder, etc. etc.

We do need a PF, but Okur seems to be MoT wih 3pt range. tI've never understood the hype on Okur, someone want to fill me in?

I saw the game last night. This guy contributed 3 TOs in 18 mins.

The guy didn't do squat last night. He was suppose to pass the ball to Rip and Billups on time, and always got caught in the corners double-teamed.

Okur’s performance in the playoffs has definitely lowered my opinion of him.

But I still say if the Rockets can get him cheap, which may not be that difficult considering he’s probably scaring off a lot of teams with his play, they should go for it.

Okur is awful... he's scared of the ball on offense.

At least Mo-T produces on that end... Okur wasn't a factor on either end.

Okur lacks balls and looks scary. Detroit can keep him.

I have been following him since he was drafted.. utter garbage.. dont waste your time.. he will just rip off a team with his 'potential'.. we need to save our cap space forr proven talent!!

Okur has not looked good this season or postseason. Now the question for him and his 'suitors' -- is that a result of LB's 'style of play' and will new environs turn him into the Okur of 'promise'?

I don't want Rox overpaying to find out.

I really don't think Okur would be any better than

Then again, most of the posters on this board are screaming to bring him back too.

HIS SHOT ISN'T EVEN AS GOOD AS THEY SAY IT SHOULD BE. AND IF U THINK YAO HAS TROUBLE WITH POSITION. OKUR POSTS UP FROM THE THREE POINT LINE. VETO OKUR!!
