Oklahoma just passed a law that mandates an invasive procedure just to make a political point. Oklahoma just gave permission for doctors to withhold info from patients if they think it will lead to an outcome they don't like.

    But wait, there's more...
Nice. So to sum up... the Oklahoma position is that you have to get raped by a medical device so you can get a "clear picture," which has to be described in great detail hopefully causing you additional stress and emotional harm... that is, unless your doctor decides on his own to lie to you about fetal abnormalities because he thinks you might get an abortion if you knew the truth.

This puts women in the position of picking a doctor not on their skills and training or even on their adherence to the Hippocratic Oath, but rather, whether they will lie to their patients because of their views on abortion.

Soon, women will also have to answer a questionnaire and have their answers posted online. I'm guessing that Oklahoma Republicans would never stoop so low as to phrase the questions so that they inflict as much emotional pain as possible and then use the "answers" in campaigns against Godlessness.

I'm not a huge fan of abortion and I'm certainly not an advocate for the lock-step Pro-Choice groups, but this is ridiculous. I don't see how anyone with a wife as an equal partner or daughters could live in Oklahoma. A difficult moral, ethical, emotional, and personal choice is now compounded by whether you want to get vaginally probed under the order of the Oklahoma State Government.

The Onion is getting closer and closer to being replaced by reality at this point.

How incredibly horrible. I can't believe this is real. If I were a doctor I would be so angry. I think this is some time for some civil disobedience.

Let's see how many doctors recognize how ridiculous this is and, instead, practice a bit of civil disobedience.

We've really forgotten how much civil disobedience has done for this country.

We need a Texas vs. Mexico rivalry game -- some sort of combination of bull riding and fighting.

    It's a battle royale.

    Arizona's immigration law
    vs.
    Oklahoma's abortion law
    vs.
    Texas' board of education

    WHO WILL EMERGE STUPIDEST???

Probably the same amount that practiced Civil Disobedience by not selling the Abortion Pill.
