We know DM is looking to upgrade via trade. Looking at the Thunders roster they seem to have some nice players. Would they consider a bid for Westbrook and Krstic for brooks/battier/dorsey? We would get a great young guard and a 7footer. Not sure if the salaries work out though.
Yes, the newly moved franchise is going to trade us a player that was a phenomenal rookie for garbage. They'll throw in a big man too. Dude, please think before you post.
I know I'm gettin creamed for the 'Don't tank thread' but really THIS deserved its own thread??? No bueno.
Geez tough crowd. Just throwing it out there. So we could sweeten it if they want. Brooks and Battier are garbage?? Dude we must really suck as they are 2 of our starters who were insrumental in us making it to the second round. Think before you post as well.
Brooks is good -- how good...we don't know. How about you tell me exactly what Oklahoma city needs with Battier. Dorsey? Exactly, you didn't think before you posted. Go back to lurking for awhile, you might learn something. The crowd is only tough when you post uneducated drivel like this. It's a waste of bandwidth among other things.
Westbrook is a pillar of OKC's foundation. He's a 6'3 PG that averaged 15 ppg as a rookie, has freakish athleticism and limitless potential. Why in hell would they trade him for what you've suggested? Oh...and include a good 7 footer??!! They're not stupid in OKC...I go to Oklahoma State and follow the franchise pretty close. Don't let the small market fool you.
Not trying to be tough. Westbrook is a pipe dream, and any scenario to attain him would likely cost you Brooks + Scola/Landry/Lowry + Rookie. Too much when you already have a promising starlet in Aaron Brooks. I love the idea though, RW is a unique mold of tough nosed, defense-first, lightning quick point guard. I don't know the specs on Kristic's contract, but the potential is there and we have a glaring need for size. I can't imagine he would be too pricey, although I wouldn't give up anybody on the roster last season for him, save maybe Dorsey. Even there, I'm hesitant.
Epic thread title. Bizarro even for the off-season. There's always someone on some team with the right contract that would be appealing, but... I'm going to Galveston right now because I clicked on this thread.
We might as well go for the gold and go for Durant, if we are making trades that OKC won't do. No need to bother with an inferior player in Westbrook.
We seriously need a stickied, post all your random trade ideas here, to avoid useless threads like these. Westbrook? Really?
That's ludicrous to say you wouldn't want a 2nd-year, uber-athletic guard who averaged over 15 ppg last season. Plus, he's a lock down defender on the perimeter. Kid's a baller, but he's untouchable.
Post what you want, you're a contributing member and paid for some of the bandwidth. Nice idea but Westbrook is untouchable, potential star playing on a rookie contract a GMs dream for building a winning team and not busting the cap. BTW, the trade does work salary wise. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=nd2ugy
Ask yourself this question: How often does a team trade a very promising 2nd year player like Westbrook for pocket change? Then again, if Sam Presti was on crack, he might do this.
Don't understand why people want to include Brooks in a deal to get a young up and comer....Brooks IS a young up and comer.
