I remember during the summer league last year McHale yelled Lambs name for not playing defense or not following the play lol

Lowry for Lamb does make sense based on the direction each team is trying to go. Thunder would be overloaded at PG, but having Westbrook slide to 2 guard might be interesting. Lowry/Russell/KD/Ibaka/Perkins would be fun to watch. Doubt this happens though.

With RJ on the team who is younger and better at almost everything than Lowry, trading Lamb for Lowry would actually make no sense. OKC's best lineup is when RJ and WB are on the floor together.

I'm not arguing that Lowry is better than RJ (even though I could). They clearly said they were looking for an experienced and consistent player to help them.

lol Amico is full of BS. Why would they let Martin walk and then trade Lamb for more experienced player?

Exactly. I was under the impression the Thunder were renting Martin last year while grooming Lamb for this year rather than let Harden walk for nothing. The Thunder front office has been great since relocating, but the Harden trade is still a head scratcher. Why do it so early in the season? Afraid Lamb would blossom and become untradeable? Not that I'm complaining.

Garcia and a second or something for Lamb wouldn't be bad.

Where's my woj tweet? Don't buy it until woj confirms.

(That and Jarret Jack being the only player that would fit that description on Cleveland, and he has quite the freshly signed contract.)

OKC is making a play for Afflalo with the Lamb story.

I'd be all aboard that trade! I'm sure Hennigan owes Presti a favor or two.

Hmm, think the TE from Martin is only 6.5, so that trade isn't happening unless Perkins gets moved. Which, I don't see.

If I was playing a video game, I'd something like this. (Not going to bother checking Trade Machine.)
    TE for BigBaby
PJ3/Lamb/Dallas Pick for a suit to sit on the bench and clap for a year.
    Perkins for Afflalo

You must not have seen RJ this season. Lowry isn't more consistent, he's just older. RJ is dynamic, makes things happen in the 4th quarter, understands his role on the team and stepped up in the playoffs. I'll say it again: OKC's best lineup is when he and WB are on the floor together. Even coach Bonehead realizes it.

If OKC trades Lamb, it will be for a legit SG who can perform under pressure. With KD, WB and RJ, they need a guy to play off the ball. Lowry would be put in Fisher's role. Knowing his history, I don't think he'd like that.

BigBen, OKC getting Afflalo would be ideal for them. Assuming Thabo and his expiring contract are part of the trade, their starting lineup (which is seriously dragging) is instantly fixed. It would give OKC separation in the West.

Asik + Garcia + Dmo for Lamb and Ibaka

Which would mean we kind of traded Martin, Stevens (pick, Lowry; however you want to look at it), dallas' pick, 2nd rd pick, Asik, Garcia, Dmo for Harden, Ibaka, + others. Then sign Deng in the off season. We would have the best defensive teams (Bev, Ibaka, Dwight, Deng) with one of the top scorers in the league.

I wouldn't say it is completely unrealistic because I've seen worse (... Harden trade LOL).

Yeah, RJ is good and he is going to be the backup until he gets traded like Harden after failing to agree to a smaller contract.

Since Amico is a cleveland beat writer, I was only really considering Cleveland players. Afflalo would be ideal, even with his salary. But, with his salary, the trade is not easy to facilitate unless someone like Perkins is used.
I threw in the bigbaby trade, because it would offset perkins 2 year contract for Orlando - not because I think bigbaby is worth trading for.

But, I mean... it is plausible for Presti to float that trade to someone to gauge Lamb's value. And who better than a suspect Cleveland beatwriter to make it look like vapor instead of smoke.

Of course we traded him anyway but on draft day I wanted Henson over Lamb. I always thought Lamb looked a little lost. Sweet shot but he always kind of looked like he was going through the motions in college. He looked better the times I saw him at OKC and in summer league. But definitely on draft day I didn't want him. Henson and Leonard were my picks in that order.

OKC has one of the best benches in the NBa. They are not trading Lamb
