At least Durant moves up at the top at scoring. Hope he becomes scoring champ this year just to shut up LeBron!

Wouldn't it be funny if somehow the Thunder faced the Blazers in the 1st round and knocked them out with Durant averaging like 30 ppg during the series? The Vulcans would fire Pritchard on the spot for not drafting Durant.

This has to be one of the worst decisions the Blazers made. Oden at best will be an average center while Durant might go down as even better than LeBron or Kobe.

    Imagine this lineup:

    Miller
    Roy
    Durant
    Aldridge
    Camby

actually it would be prisbilla as oden would not be here so he would not get injured and there would be no need to sign camby

i like kevin durant, he is like a T-mac, but taller and more athletic, he is very young same age as me? and has led a very bad thunder team (23-59 last yr) to the playoffs with a solid 48-29 record. I will root for the thunder against whoever they match up with in the postseason. I hope they get either the jazz or the mavs, they can beat either team

I got carried away with Kobe, but I can't see why he won't or will be better than LeBron? I think his skill set is better than LeBron's. All he has to do is bulk up and he is LeBron 2.0.

    Lol what?

He needs to do more than bulk up to be LeBron.

In fact LeBron and Kevin Durant games or nothing alike. I don't think he will ever be better than LeBron. Nothing against Durant but LeBron is just that good.

lebron's game is already better than kobe's ever was (kobe still has a better career for now).

durant may be the better scorer (that's debatable), but lebron has him beat in every other cateory, even when lebron was at age 20/21.

The thing is OKC does not need Durant to play like LeBron because they have Russell Westbrook who has a lot of potential.

Hell he has already taken a big step up the PG ladder.

Just watched the final play. OMFG that was ridiculous. These damn refs need to be punished by the league for that blatant incompetence.

since signing miller and trading for camby may not have happen if they got durant, but for even more fun

lets say portland doesnt trade with the jazz a few years back and use that third pick to select Deron Williams themselves instead of getting martell webster.

    now look
    Williams
    Roy
    Durant
    Aldridge
    <any 7 footer>

thats the best team in the NBA right there, heck they could have chuck hayes at center and still win 60 games without breaking a sweat

Yeah, OKC isn't looking to win it this year. If, on the small chance they do, good for them.

But it is mainly playing for experience.

as for the shot itself that was probably some of the worst OBVIOUS officiating i have ever seen. It wasnt even a judgement call and with only 1 second or so left on the clock all all 3 refs should have been watching Durant take that shot not the clock or anything else since INSTANT REPLAY could determine if he got the shot off or not. This isnt a charge/block type call that is subjective, this was as obvious as it gets with a hit on the forearm and wrist during the shooting motion.

it boggles me that of all the sports the NBA officials, who by the most part do a great job officiating, aren't held accoutable for their glaring mistakes. Its not an easy sport to call but there are instances where there should be no mistake in calling something one way or the other. That call has drastically changed the playoff landscape out west.

Its just ridiculous and the worst part is that its not even the jazz's fault...its the refs so i cant even hope that karma comes back to get the jazz on the play.

downright shame for the Thunder if I was KD i would bite the bullet and take the fine and lash out about the refs

Durant isn't expanding his game yet, though. The coach isn't asking him to average 28/6/8 like LeBron.

Plus, LeBron realizes that the time is now, with the current Cleveland team that is, to win a championship. Therefore, he takes it upon himself, literally, to do everything.

And isn't Durant 20? He still has 5 years to get within Lebron's gaudy numbers.

Durant, right now, is a lot scarier than LeBron was, at 20.

If i were bosh, i would really consider ok city. If i were ok city, i would offer up green and collison for bosh. They will have good cap room if i'm not mistaken.

I disagree. As much as I love Durant, he will never be as great as Lebron. I mean do you even watch Lebron play? He is such a natural play maker. As just a play maker he is one of the best in the last 20 years better than 90 percent of the PGs in the league.

Durant on the other hand just doesnt have that natural playmaking abilities like Lebron. Plus Lebron is much much more athletic than Durant. Durant is simply a more fluent Offensive player though.

Ha, of course I watch LeBron play. LeBron is amazing, hands down. But you can't count Durant out when he isn't even 22.

Give the guy some credit. All his life, Durant has been taught offense shoot offense shoot offense shoot. If Durant takes the offseason to bunker down on defense, ballhandling, passing and the like, he might become a better overall player next season. Not LeBron, but LeBron lite, if you will.

Durant can be a better scorer than Lebron. Not a better playmaker though.

Defensively, I think Lebron's overrated anyway
