Just an opinion poll... since every (almost every) person on here seems to delight themselves in the "Carr must go!" chant...

Where will he be shipped? Who is shipping in?

    You decide.

According to franchise mode in Madden, he's going to the Redskins. And Chris Simms will be the new QB for the Texans. :(

probably texans, but if anywhere, i'd say detroit. If OAK or CLEV want a QB, they can draft one of the top 2.

I said the Lions for changes sake.

I actually don't think he's going anywhere. At least not for a year or two.

if they sign plummer it will be because carr isn't here anymore. they're not gonna keep carr around to back someone else up. they'll get what little value from him they can in a trade...and move on.

this team can't afford to keep carr around. this season has been a p.r. nightmare, and Mr. Carr is the face of that. my guess is he'll be gone before the deadline for season ticket renewals. because it will be a symbol of ushering in change.

I'm going to go with the Lions just because their GM is on the Texans level.

you may be right. i would just be surprised. but i understand what you're saying, too. i guess the idea of keeping him around is so incomprehensible to me that i can't even fathom it.

i disagree; look, they had to make a decision on carr in februrary. keep in mind that, until january 5th, or sometime thereafter, everyone assumed young would be a longhorn this year. young said as much, iirc, prior to the rose bowl.

mcnair brought reeves in, when? november of last year? my guess is that the evaluation of carr started then with an eye to february. so by the time young burst into the draft... they had invested countless hours, effort, energy and money into making a decision on carr, and to abruptly trash all of that and start from scratch with a month to go until the deadline was unrealistic.

IOW, the texans were victims of bad timing - no one's fault, really. had young stated at the start of the season he was leaving, maybe they would have evaluated carr differently... but they had no idea until they were knee-deep in carr.

i don't think they have the same level of committment to carr now. they keep him only if the cap hit is prohibitive.
