We are 2-1 to the lakers this season. If we can be enough lucky to get out of the 1st round, we will beat the lakers and make the wc finals.

Do you seriously believe that T-Mac is going to keep playing after this contract expires? I don't even think he wants an extension with any team.

If he could take the rest of his money in a lump sum, I think he would go live his life in peace with his family starting right after these playoffs and never look back up.

I don't blame him, either. The media has pissed all over him for years. Why? Because he got cocky during one series half a decade ago.

Sure, you can argue he gets paid well and should deal with that crap. At the same time, it's tough to have to constantly do battle on and off the court. Maybe, he's just tired of it all.

T-mac should of played better in the 4th I agree 100%.

But last time I checked the Lakers swept the Nuggets in the regular season and looks like it is about to happen this series too. We won the season series with the Lakers 2-1.

2-1 in regular season doesn't mean anything, suns are 2-0 with shaq against spurs in the regular season too. Now lakers has healthy odom n gasol front court, kobe dominating as usual and bunch of shooters, its not a surprise to see denver down 3-0 and rockets do much better with tmac playing the way he is late in game.

Why not? He hasn't win a ring yet!

I also believe a player who can plays the bball so well must love the bball very much! Otherwise, he wouldn't be so good. Talent only is not enough, he must work very hard as well.

I think you underestimate his love to the bball.

You really look down the rockets!

The nuggets are the worst defense team in the league. They should be shame of themselves. Even, the hawks can beat the celtics.

With that roster there is no way Denver should be down 3-0.

Give T-mac another year! Personally I don't want to trade him.

Its not even a question honestly, and if we could we wouldn't be able to get equal value back for him.

We are a veteran team, we will live and die with this bunch of guys. Outside of some tweaking i think this core is here to stay, get used to it.

    Health is the Key

T-Mac needs to take a serious paycut after this contract so we can get a 3rd high paid scorer like in Boston and he can finally get out of the 1st round.

I think you underestimate how much T-Mac has been worn down physically and mentally.

He actually stated publicly over a year go that he wanted "to go play baseball or something" as soon as his contract expires.

I'm not saying that he's committed to those kinds of thoughts but I don't think T-Mac loves the game as much as he used to. I would be surprised if he doesn't retire after this contract expires. If he doesn't retire, it will only be for the money.

Yao Ming is the reason Battier and Landry are on that list. They're just great fits for Yao's game.

McGrady has been settling for jumpshots. He just doesn't carry himself as a leader. Look at the comments he's been making during the playoffs. He's trying to be a media-darling. Who cares what they write/say about you?

His comments lead me to believe that he's playing with tomorrow's newspaper headline in mind.

I'm tired of waiting for T-Mac to get mad in order for him to take his game to another level.

McGrady is near unstoppable if drives to the basket. My problem is that even if driving to the basket is successful, he'll change his game and settle for a jumpshot.

Just watching the playoffs, he has way too much on his mind, especially in the 4th. He reads what they say about his 4th qtr performance, and he lets those thoughts affect his game. He needs to just let the game come to him.

Even with all that said, I would not just give McGrady away. But I'll listen to all the offers. If I don't like what I see, McGrady stays with the Rockets. Of course you let the teams offer you a deal; not you offering them. Also, it needs to be done privately amongst GMs only. Otherwise, you end up like the Bulls.

Imagine if we had been able to draft Brandon Roy. Sorry, in advance, for revisiting this.

That would have changed the face of this franchise.

A core of Roy, T-Mac and Yao would have been pretty sick.

dont get me wrong, i didn't look down at the rockets. I like the way landry and scola hustling and RA as a coach than JVG and all 4 games we're close even in the losses to the Jazz. But I am very disappointed in tmac especially his status as a "superstar" your 20million/year player. He'll get you 20/6/6 in this series and that looks good on paper. But did he really get the job done? LBJ is not a good freethrow shooter too but he's impact is clearly greater than tmac on his team or when you look at kobe bryant. I dont give a **** about denver and their undisciplined team, they deserve to be down 3-0. However, tmac will still give you that same 20/6/6 against the lakers, but in fourth quarter, you have different feelings when you see kobe having the ball up top of the arc as tmac during a close game. Especially in the playoffs, 7 game series in the end winning 1 or 2 games and getting sweeped are both meaningless.

Because the doctors thought his back was hopeless. Now with a much healthier back, I expect him to play much longer. Besides, my life will be meaningless if he retires. No more NBA for me. :(

You are so funny! You just said he would retire for his own life, why do you change to say he would only play for money?!

Anyway, according to your reputation in this board, you are always wrong! So, I won't mind you! :D
