"Win Now"...that sick joke again? They couldn't wait on Rudy Gay but play Scola, Landry and Brooks significant minutes? News Flash. Rudy Gay is already "developed". And Swift was eventually turned into Jamal Magliore.

I actually enjoyed it. Man, so many beeps, damn funny. I've always hated those political answers. So damn boring! Part of the reasons that I love Tmac is that he's alway being honest and says what's on his mind.

the sad thing was melo started quitting first. when they cut it to a 10pt lead, dude started playing wild and reckless. it was so sad. he's so young and so talented but he just loses it so easily. in his 3 playoff appearances, his teams have lost 4-1, 4-1, and now prollie 4-0. they haven't even come close and his teams have been stacked with talent.

we'll see what this year will do for melo b/c i do like the guy.

Definitely need to get rid of Luther Head, and Chuck Hayes Novak can go in that trade as well. Harris doesn't even have a guaranteed contract and neither does Loren Wood. Dikembe can stay if he doesn't retire this season, unless we can get a back-up centre in the off-season, even then we should just keep him for the veteran's minimum just in case Yao gets injured.

Wish he could play like that every night.

the thing is, 70% of his shots in that game was on JUMPSHOTS.

people just need to understand he's more of a jumpshooter. his goal this offseason should bring his fg% back up to 44-45% and he'll be gravy again.

    Yep...but there's also a few things that work...like:
the salaries do work...I know you were trying to be rhetorically "bad ass" but check your facts first.
    From the Rockets perspective-
Blount is a cancer with a bad contract. Marion just got surgery. These aren't selling points for the Rockets....these are things we do to get Rose. Maimi is in the East where having an average point guard doesn't destroy you night in and night out. Marion, Scola, and Ming are an excellent front court. It also helps our rebounding with a guy like Marion. I don't need to sell Rose to you...you called him the "next" cp3...the "next" cp3 is bad for this team?
Maimi- They can cash in on the huge salary dump with a huge fa signing...easier to convince ppl that you are win now by trading for a star like Tmac and a veteran like Battier. Remember that Dwight guy...the beast that is tearing it up down in Orlando. Tmac didn't want to wait for that...so if making a trade like this for a star like tmac helps them get a guy like Brand...maybe they do it.
I'm not saying this is an easy sell for the Rockets...but this is a Rocks board and the trades might just favor them.

I didn't watch the Nuggets game so I don't know. But according to some people, he's a better option than Tmac for the Rockets. I would love to see the trade though. Just imagine Tmac with all those talents on the Denver team (As long as George Carl is not the head coach :p )

I don't like that Battier/Gay trade either. I know Rudy is like averaging 20ppg this season almost doubling his last years ppg and improving on all fronts. But the trade was done so we can win "now"(well it might sound cliched but that was aim of the trade wasn't it?) I really would have liked to have Rudy Gay not traded away, but that was 2 seasons ago so we can do anything about it. Battier isn't that bad and Swift would have been a really nice back-up centre as well. He signed with Houston to be with a contending team but got traded almost straightaway to Memphis...

I know he didn't perform as expected in the fourth, and I am frustrated by that. But we're a team and we play a more team-oriented style than others, so we didn't entirely rely on mcgrady to fire in the 4th quarter, or the entire game. Don't just dismiss him just because he didn't play a couple of games well. Vince Carter didn't even make the playoffs...

How about trading a lotto pick #9 and swift for Battier? That will give the rox a career 9ppg glue guy that cant get his own shot and put more pressure on Yao and Tracy to carry the load. After that, we will trade our backup 2/3 that was 9ppg and 5 rebs for another tweener guard that hasnt played signficant time in 2 yrs? After that lets trade the only athelete on the roster for another athelete then cut him for another 6'6 pf. All of that should help the rox in the playoffs.

Keep the pick and it is Thebo Sefolosha

Don't forget about unloading a bad contract and basically setting the team up to be a player in the next year's sign and trade bazaar.

Should have cut Williams and kept Green...I hope we bring him back.

Would you trade T-mac for Iverson? Or T-mac for Arenas?

What about Yao for Dirk or Yao for Bosh and Bargnani?

what about andre igudala, hes good but honestly we will not be able to get a player of equal talent, we should keep mcgrady and add another scoring threat, if we could get rudy gay or miller that would be good but we would definately have to give up something big.

Yao is un-tradable. Even if the Lakers offered Kobe, I don't think the Rockets would budge.

Arenas needs people around him and has fallen off...Iverson is even more on the decline than Tmac....

Did you just say trade Yao for an even softer big man who has the same go to move in every single possession? Bosh??? He wouldn't last in the West. Bargnani????????what were you thinking

I'm not even going to discuss this much but i think everyone knows how terrible this team has been w/o him. They played alot better than usual w/o him this season w/Yao but they still weren't good enough.

The reason they need him so much has nothing to do with the things you mentioned above. It has nothing to do with his scoring or work ethic. Tmac's ability to create for others is important because the team can't create for themselves. No one is going to give us the level of playmaker in return that we would need to make up for this.

Why is everyone being so fickel? Everyone says we need to trade him because he sucks. Then they say we can get 2 all star players and some picks that rarely happens. When the lakers were shopping Kobe the bulls didn't even wanna give up and Luol Deng (and he is very overrated). So they couldn't get 2 all stars for Kobe, what do you expect to get for tmac?

This is a ridiculous argument anyways. No matter who it is, you trade if you can get better value back, period. No one is untouchable in the NBA. If the rockets thought they could get 2 all stars for a guy who wasn't even one this year they would have done it. If they thought they could get Dwight Howard for Yao they would have done it.
