Ok so do we give Tmac another year, or shop him this summer?

Why not give him another chance? With Yao, they played very well. Hell, even without Yao hes done a great job of carrying the team. Seriously though, nobody expected the Rockets to win this series. Most we even calling it a Sweep while the Rockets have been close the entire game. Lets be real, Utah has a more talented team than the Yao-less Rockets. T-Mac would be the only starter on our team to crack their Starting lineup.

We shouldn't trade him based on the outcome of the series. We've seen how horrible our offense looks when T-Mac is not in there. And it's not like T-Mac is shooting lights out. His presence, his passing and vision are huge within our offense. He is not just a scorer, he's our play maker.

So unless we can find a player that can draw double teams, great passing vision, and create shots for himself and others, then I say we try one more year. We need to see if Yao and T-Mac can stay on the floor together for the whole year. If that happens, we are title contenders.

McGrady should have been dealt last season.

I think a lot of you guys are seriously overrating him in regards to getting "equal value" back.

Shop him....see what you can get, weigh the options but don't settle for a crappy deal.

Yao and Tmac together (IF HEALTHY) can win it all........

The problem is that they are never healthy.........and that has to be factored in to the equation.

Still, I think you retool around them, and come back next year with the same team plus a couple of tweaks...

Championship teams are not built in one year, and Morey has done a good job this season, he just needs another one to get it right.

well, if you wanna trade one player because of health then trade yao ming seriously

guy gets a serious injury EVERY year..and this year he misses the playoffs..at least mcgrady has been playing in all of those playoffs games (except the 4th quarter)

Wait, so you said McGrady WOULDNT EVEN BE IN THE LEAGUE? You gotta be freakin kidding me. Don't try to change it now....That was just a dumbass comment.

David Stern put the NBA on the map. You gotta be joking....Yeah he got lucky with Bird, Magic, and Jordan but the NBA was the 3rd major sport until Stern got there....Things have gotten BETTER since Stern took over.

    Amen.

All we need is health. And if we stay healthly we can sure win it all in the NBA, because with that great players inside (Yao) and outside (T-Mac) we can do a lot.

But things like this season or from season ago can't happen again. We have two superstars and when T-Mac is injuried Yao carries the team and wneh Yao goes down Tracy has to take over.

Stay together, healthly. That's the key

trading tmac is fine if it helps the team, but you want carmelo who obviously is worse under pressure as he literally broke down in front of our eyes last night and iverson who has no sense of discipline offensively.

again, if you're gonna make these threads, please make suggestions that will help the team, not worsen it. trading for melo and ai (even together) will take us a huge step back.

only 2 perimeter players are better than tmac right now: kobe and lebron (those 2 are much better than everybody else anyways). we can't get them.

so if we're gonna trade him, i suggest looking at getting multiple players who ca nfill multiple positions. then we become a more balanced team around yao.

Wait I know the Rockets have been struggling without McGrady but damn they were playing better without those several games without him this season than in the past

but is yao a capable first? we saw how he played v. the jazz last yr. in reality, both of our stars are really not legit first option players like kobe and lebron. we gotta get help around them so they don't feel a lot ofpressure. both seem to struggle under pressure.

because we have a better team than in the last years...not because yao ming carried us...

yao ming is a very complete player..dont get me wrong...i just dont think a Center alone can carry a team..

mcgrady is the only decent passer on this team...

mcgrady and yao can win it all..we need patience

All you need to do is look at what happens to our team when tmac steps off the court and you have the answer to this question. His fg percentage is disgusting, but just about every other aspect of his game is the ONLY reason we are competing so hard in this series. You guys do realize that we have no big names besides Tmac on this team and we are pushing the Jazz to the brink in each game, right? Regardless of his terrible FT shooting, FG percentage, the man is a machine and I would slap Morey if he traded him.

Add Yao to this picture and Tmac has to do A LOT less work, won't be freaking POOPED in the fourth quarter, and can take over like he normally does.

Plus, if they double team Tmac, throw it into Yao, they are gonna have to choose. We are gonna be dominant next year, plain and simple.

It's not T-Mac's fault we are playing without Yao. We have Yao's 26 pts and 10 rebounds back and we are talking sweep the other way. We would totally destroy this Jazz team with the new offense and Power Forwards we have.

Shop him. If somebody makes you a good offer, you take it.

We're not desperate to dump him but we'd be fools to turn down a reasonable offer. TMac is simply not a "championship" player for many reason.

    TMac is not:
    1. a leader
    2. a good freethrow shooter
    3. a good decision maker in crunch time
    4. healthy

If we could pull a trade with Chicago for two of their good peices, I'd do it.

Got ot agree. TMac takes about 1/3 of the salary cap space and doesn't provide 1/3 of offense or defense. Time for him to move his contract to a bad team like Seattle moving to a new city. There, butts in seats is more important than winning. Move him for a couple of good young players and draft choices. Sorry, but I am done with him.
