Exactly! I've broken both of my big toes and its almost impossible to walk when you're toes are hurting so much. People don't realize how much you use your toes until you hurt them. Anyone calling Yao a p*ssy should at least deliberately sprain their big toe and try running up and down an court and making cuts and pivots and see how well they do.
I have had a coworker with this problem. He described the procedure to me...sounded painful. Now if any of you are 7'6'', 300+ lbs, and have had this sort of injury, and still think him a wuss, fine. If you are none of the above...then please don't speak when you just truly don't know.
Jim Peterson.. It will give him a chance to relive his glory days and give the T-Wolves a chance to get a better color commentator.
How about that Jason Collins and a number 1 for Swift deal the Nets wanted to give us last week? Swift is such a scrub...I can't believe we can get anything for him. Use Collins until Yao comes back and bring in some youth with the pick next year.
I bet "The Legend" could give us 6 fouls in 5 minutes, preserving his average of more fouls than minutes per game. Then spread the rest of the minutes between Swift and JVG's pet, Ryan Bowen.
How about give Baxter a chance at PF? I am willing to bet he'll rebound well and give us some toughness inside in the absence of our two centers. Sheesh, can things get any worse as far as injuries are concerned? If things keep going this way, JVG will get minutes in the backcourt
where does it say Dik will miss?? anyone can start, i just dont want bowen on the court if its not garbage time.
You know, the way things going, I am just thankful that McGrady is able to play at all, I don't want to upset God/challenge him by saying "you can't make it any worse", because then he will say, "Oh really? watch this!", and just like that McGrady is injured for a few more weeks.
Yeah it's like snowball effect. I never thought Deke or even Yao would get hurt....boy was I wrong Dang'ol. Then again, Barry and Anderson going out was just as unexpected. It's just been tough in every sense of the word in this early NBA season. However, the Rockets are 10-13 in spite of that Dang'ol luck, give props to JVG and the "healthy" players for sticking it out.
I feel sorry for Stephen Graham. He was going play versus his twin brother Joey on Wednesday and now he will most likely get cut in favor of a center. Here are some NBDL centers. http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/hiram_fuller/index.html?nav=page http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/roderick_riley/index.html?nav=page http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/luke_schenscher/index.html?nav=page http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/deji_akindele/index.html?nav=page http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/kevin_owens/index.html?nav=page http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/ken_johnson/index.html?nav=page http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/andreas_glyniadakis/index.html?nav=page
I saw start ewing make him useful for something. and if that doesnt work clutch the bear. i know he must have some unstoppable post moves
For posters who think all Swift needed was extended minutes to play, this is his big chance. If he's going to prove himself to be worth something, the next couple of games would be the time to do it.
