Mark, where are you?

I pray for you, bro. Please be ok.

If anyone else has any leads or info, I again offer my help. I am willing to call anyone or go anywhere allowable in NYC to see if he is ok.

Does anyone know if he lives in the Bronx or Buffalo, NY? If so, I've been able to get phone numbers and addresses for 2 "M McGriff"'s. What the initial M stands for I dunno...

    DoD-

I don't think it would hurt to try and call either one. Latest reporst have the number of dead and/or missing topping 5,000 people. I reallly really hope mc mark is ok. We need to all sign up our actual names to give to Clutch for situations like this.

3,500 People....Was Probably Morgan Stanley Dean Witter

A friend of mine who works for the Firm (Houston Branch) said that about 3,000 out of the 3,500 got out because most were in the second tower to get hit. So evacuations had begun before the main area of their office got hit..

    C'mon man..... :(

I now have a strong feeling that Mark has been away from the City/State/Country for a while. Only that can explain why he, an obvious addict, posted so long ago -- what, a week from Tuesday.

Mark, I know that you have been away and that explains your absence. I am no longer worried. There can be no other possibility. Won't you be surprised when you read all of this?

I hope you will not have been stranded for too long in an airport.

EVERYTHING SHOULD BE OK WITH MARK!!!

my cousin just left my house (MS he has a confrence call with the company tomorrow early, and the wine was making him sleepy anyways :) )

i just asked him if he knew mark, and he said the name sounds familiar, but he also said that research is not in the WTC at all they are in one of the midtown offices(MSDW has lots of offices in the city, and the research department is in midtown.) however mark likely works for my cousin in a way. he likely reports to his department, regardless, their departments work closely together. it would be funny if they knew each other

so the good news is that it is unlikely that even if mark were in the city, he should have been 40 blocks away

peace all, and hope your minds are a bit at ease

Yeah, Equity Research is at 1585 Broadway. I thought that was were Mark worked, but I didn't know that for sure.

    Still hoping he's okay.

Man, I felt weird calling people I don't even know.

Well, one of the phone numbers I tried was disconnected. Another one kept getting a fast busy signal meaning circuits were swamped, so I decided to stop attempting until tomorrow. I figure I'll let those that really need to know (friends & family of NY'ers) get all the available lines.

VOR -- that's good news. mc mark works in the graphics and publishing department of equity research, according to one of his previous posts:

    http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14711&perpage=30&pagenumber=2

...to pay my bills until the BIG break, I work in the graphics and publishing dept of equity research for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.

I had called on Wednesday the number Morgan Stanley had set up -- took me a few minutes because I wasn't sure if it was appropriate (figured I shouldn't tie up a line when ifamilies are trying to get info from all over). I wouldn't wish a phone call like that on anyone. To have to give a name and info and wait as an operator, in silence, looks on these lists.... just a horrible thing.
