Ok, now I know why Mobley doesn't pass.

When Cat makes bad play back to back, if he pulled him and put in Torres, then maybe he would be more under control. I remember Phil pulling Kobe at times when he got out of control and he was one of the better players in the league. He can sit, listen and learn just like other young players.

Swopa, That is a really funny pic; I laughed for a very long time. How do you come up with that stuff? Really funny.

I think Francis is one of the best ballhandlers in the league, BASKETBALL that is. Granted, not as good as he thinks, but who are we to think he can't become as good as he wants?

About the Cat thing, I have a simple solution. Make Cat play the point in practices. Let Steve play SG. Seriously, this will help us a whole lot for games.

You mean to tell me BigM (and lots of others) that a young NBA player hasn't learned to play within himself and his game yet? I think we should get rid of him, then! :D

Everyone is being impatient, including Steve and Cat. We have a very young team and they have a lot of things to learn, first and foremost basketball maturity. They are making progress, but they are also in a situation with the teams record (and falling so far below expectations) that is making them press even more. There is a reason players in the first couple of years are rarely superstars. There is also a reason young teams do not go deep in the playoffs.

Michael Jordan, the best player of our time, took several years before he was able to tune his game to be playoff ready and to be able to play within himself AND involve others on his team.

This will be an exciting but frustrating team for the next 2-3 years. But, they have to have time to learn. Do it right and be patient and this team, with Francis, Mobley and Griffin as it's core, has the talent to be a dynasty. Rush it and they may not win a championship.

Even Shaq and Kobe, the best and arguably the second best players in the game today, took several years to get it well enough to win it all. But they did and now have dynasty written all over them. Do you want to win 45-50 games now or take over the dynasty mantle from them in 3-4 years? My guess, CD and Rudy are betting on having a chance at that mantle. They know what it takes, they've done it twice. They will get us back.

    Just be patient.

Thank you. I feel like the only person on this BBS that has this mentality.

Sure they make mistakes. And they're learning from them. It's not an overnight thing.

I just learned Cato only really started playing ball his senior year in high school. If so, then no wonder it's taking him so long to improve.

On the other hand, just dump them all and we'll start rebuilding again.

Thanks, but I really can't take credit. Someone else posted it to a Warriors board.

I agree with your first and last sentences, but I'm not sure I agree with your middle one. They still make the same mistakes they did last month, last year, and 2 years ago. Yeah, they'll get better for a few weeks here and there, but then they'll regress. Remember, we had a nice little run two years ago too at the end of the year.

Suppose for a second they really weren't learning anything. How would they play? My guess is that they would look exactly like they do now. :(
