i heard the clippers offered odom,8 pick,and12 pick.for ming and filler we could have either traded up and got nene and nachbar at 15 or taken ely or staudemire at the 12 pick for our center position and caron btler with the 8 pick and ely at 12 and nochbar at 15 i sur hope ming pans out cause we could have had a few good young players
I wonder what Yao drinks ..............................hmmmmmmmmm.... Eddie I don't think is even legal yet.
Yao is reportedly not an alcohol drinker(per W&S) so I imagine its either tea or water...or milk (does a body good)...
Yao's straight edge. Don't know about Eddie or Boki. Pretty sure every other player on our team drinks alcohol, though. Which, according to just about any medical professional you can find is worse and worse for you than weed. Also addictive, which weed isn't. As for the Odom + 8 + 12, that's a crappy deal too, though better than the ones posted above. Amare's a PF. We needed a center and we got one. I've yet to hear a scenario that surprises me.
Ill restate my opinion then. Using alcohol/weed isnt necessarily bad, but getting caught with it illegally certainly is. Thats why our players need to stay away from that stuff and not risk it.
Which GMs actually said Yao would be a bust? I remember Cuban, but he isn't a GM and it's possible he was reacting to something like having CD ingnore a trade proposal.
Agreed. I'm not too worried bout Odom or Mo on this front though. Like I said, weed's not addictive. John Lucas had a monkey on his back, these other guys just like to feel groovy.
I heard the Lakers was trying to move up to draft Ming so that they would have another big man to dominate the middle after Shaq retires...
BTW- That is my one and only tidbit of "insider" info i've ever received. Not trying to pull one off...
Memphis did not make an offer for Ming. Jerry West stated from the jump once he figured he would get Jay or Gooden at #4 he did not want to move up or down.
