Here's what I would tell the team. "Never, ever, assume that someone else is getting the rebound. If it's not in your hands with your elbows out, assume the Jazz are coming for it." "If you have the ball near the basket, either take it up quick or gather yourself and take it STRONG and TOWARD the rim. No cute *****. This is the NBA." "If you can't block someone's shot, go into their body and hard across their arms. Nothing to get yourself suspended, but you better let them know they've been fouled." "Stop hesitating to close out on shooters. This team doesn't miss when they're open. Even if they pump fake you and step inside, make them shoot on the move." "You guys are thinking yourself out of your own game right now. Just play basketball like you know you can. That's how you got here. That's how we got here."
Start Brooks, play woods and novak. Since the jazz don't have the premium 2/3 player, battier isn't as important. Woods should play if nothing else to finish around the rim which is something hayes and scola can't do. Novak should play in conjuction with shane and tracy. Tracy at the point, battier and novak @ 2/3 along with woods and landry. Run novak off staggered sxreens and picks with tracy making decision. I remember detroit being down 3-1 and coach used a rookie named prince. He brought a different element and they won the series. Desperate times call for desperate measures or the broom is coming out.
I wish we could've had Gerald Green this post season instead of Head. I think GG would've taken it to the hole.
My guess is that without Yao they've just fallen back to what they're comfortable with. The troubling thing about Adelman's offense and the Rockets is that it always seems like it's two steps forward and then one step back. Hopefully next year they can really roll it out. I have to say I think the Rockets' offense has looked its best when they play as much of Adelman's system as they can.
they need to send a few 'messages' via hard fouls to the jazz throughout the game and MAKE the refs clean it up that would take away utahs entire defense
It's simple. Make your free throws. Run the effing offense. Stop standing around the perimeter watching while TMac attempts to draw doubles every freaking play. Picks, cuts and ball movement. Keep defending and shooting open shots.
1. Rebounds, on BOTH ends of the court at ALL times! 2. Drive in more, but look for kick-outs if their guard is up. 3. Rest T-Mac up for the last 2 quarters. 4. Put in Aaron Brooks consistently.
keep believing on the team.. never say die attitude. tmac wants this series. He will die trying.. look for adjustments and he will reserve his energy for good. we need a player to step up at the start of the game.. if alston is back, then we will be back for good. i miss the line up with rafer, bobby jackson, tmac, battier and Hayes on the court together.. It should be effective at winning moment. I still would like to give head last chance. let him shoot on the 1st quarter.. and decide from there.. we need to boost their confidence.. let tmac create on the crucial moment..
Why are soo many people trusting in Carl Landry, He has NOT shown up in the playoffs, he does not have that explosiveness he once had, and so far in the playoffs he has been playing like a true rookie, he has turned the ball over and misses easy shots, like hayes, he is not sure of himself anymore, did anyone else notice that he got 0 pt in the 2nd last night? I completely agree with RA. Landry needs to get limited minutes, if he produces, then leave him in, but if f's up like he has been, bench him.Same goes with Head.
Exactly!!!! It also illustrates that Coach A is not quite as good as we were thinking. His failure to rotate players and incorporate our specialist players in the first two games has left a bad taste
