    I tried following the steps to the port forwarding but got lost.

    Nothing from Oink is uploading but other trackers are uploading with speeds around 50kb/s; I just get the little horizontal figure 8 sign under "ETA" fpr the Oink downloads.

    At the risk of hijacking the thread, does anyone have any invites to (and I can't remember the fricking name of the site) the torrent site where you can get TV torrents from?

    Unfortunately I read your post to late, came back from my holidays to find Oink me.uk had disappeared off the face of the earth, by the time I‘d read this thread and tried to log in, the six week inactivity clause had taken effect, sadly I’ll now have to wait for another invite as I got nowhere asking the irc channel for an amnesty for its uninformed members.

    hmm im curious about oink; it sounds pretty neat. never heard of it till i read about it here but im a long time user of demonoid and have a good share ratio on that.

    would anyone mind inviting me? id like to see try it for myself. chestr@gmail.com

    does anyone also know if oink works at like a college dorm with all those firewalls and what not? cause im headed out to a&m tomorrow and it would kinda be useless for me if oink doesn't work there

    If you've been booted before for having a low ratio, do not ask for another invite. It just gets your account cancelled and the person who invites you the second time loses his invite privileges.

    Exactly. Also, I'm not down with sending invites to your "friends." For all I know it's someone trying to get back in after being banned.

    I'm not sending out anymore invites unless you can show proof that you're in good standing at another site ratio wise. 80% of the people I've sent invites to from here have been banned due to horrible ratios. You wanna leech and not seed, then enjoy slow downloads and bad uploads at the public sites.

    I think one has to be incredibly selfish and lazy to download 5 gigs of stuff and not be able to share 80% of it back.

    Oink is one of the more generous good private sites I've seen.

    I've got like a 1.7 share ratio but wish it was more. When uploading, what can you upload? Can I put together a mix of songs and call it something like 2007 Bangers or what?
