Did this kid have a Muslim back ground...? And should we blame Islam when white Americans are converting over to help radical groups like ISIS...?
While you are trying to figure out who to blame, others are trying to figure out how to stop future attacks.
All these other threads blaming Islam beliefs and you pick this thread (were someone was caught before a attack) to make that statement. But ok.
The purpose of those other threads is to malign and admonish Islam for the purpose of discouraging others from adopting those awful beliefs and thus preventing future attacks. Is it your goal to malign being a 'white American'? That's pretty racist.
I don't think trying to convince people that Islam is evil and all Muslims are bad people isn't going to discourage future attacks... Could make it worst if anything. Good ol stereotyping and evasion of privacy is probably the best way to go as far as preventing future attacks. The fact that Americans (regardless of color) with no Muslim background are joining forces with radical groups is something that should be questioned and not ignored.
