I can't really blame the guy. At least he's trying. It's not like he's a slacker or something. I've got respect for him simply because he could've hung them up at anytime but he's being driven by his pride to make the comeback. More power to him.

I wouldn't mind having him on the Rockets roster. Hell, if he sat out 75-95% of the season, he'd still be more inspiration than Kelvin Cato.

I'd trade Cato for his butt any day.

    Cato's worth a Penny?

    That sounds about right.

How many years has it been since this guy put together a good season? Four or five? I doubt he'll ever be anything impressive again.

Lack of heart, desire, and conditioning. Penny = Cato.

Cato for Penny sounds good to me. Does that work money wise?

I think he'll be back. You don't forget how to play basketball just because you got hurt. The kid was good. There's no reason he can't return to that level or higher. The Physical part of the game is ovverrated. I wouldn't doubt somebody who had the heart to become the best point guard in the league. That's heart. I'm sure he still has it. I'm not a big fan of the guy, but I have no reason to doubt him.

Does Penny remind anyonbe else of Pip?

Penny looked good beside of Shaq just like Pip looked good next to MJ. Get them away from their leader and they both become role players, although Penny is much mor einjury prone.

But I wouldn't trade an over paid center for an overpaid guard, unless we can work another deal for a big body. We already have enuff small guys.

No. Pippen quit on his team. Penny hasn't quit on the Suns and is still working his tail off to come back. He came back from the injury last season and helped them in the playoffs (and played well).

You guys comparing him with Cato & Pip are waaaaaaay off.

Quit talking about Penny on this team though Dr. That's gross. The guy is walking dead. He'll never play meaningful basketball again... certainly not in the zone... and he's certainly not worth his max contract.

I think Penny is actually a BETTER player without Shaq as a crutch. He just never kept himself in good condition and didn't have the motivation or desire to be the best he could be.

I'll admit KJ was injury prone. But not valuable to his team? Come on!

He reminds me a lot of KJ: great talent, but too fragile to be valuable to a team. Only difference is he's not quite as talented as KJ was and is more fragile. Orlando was smart to unload him and he'll be crippling the Suns for some time to come.

When I was Little I call in a local sports show and told them the Rockets should Trade Otis Thorpe for a Lottery Pick. They found me to be stupid.
