No, I demonstrated exactly what I stated. Your interpretation is not my problem. Yes, I freely admit that I am already well aware of how many puff pieces have been written about how great Obama is (translation: more than I will ever even consider looking at). I am not interested in puff pieces. What I was looking for was something more concise, maybe simply a listing along the lines of what might appear on a resume. If I was not interested, I would not have brought it up. You assume that because I refuse to dignify genuflecting adoration 'articles' while searching for the tidbits I am curious to see means that I don't really want to know. Nothing could be further from the truth. Just seems odd to me that this information isn't already out there in nice chewy little sound-bites and bullet points.
I'm in the Chicagoland right now, and while I expected it, the support Obama has around here is amazing. Obama's approval rating on the Southside might be even greater than Palin's 85% in Alaska. And none of them can tell me anything he did for them in politics. Apparently he was a hell of a community organizer, did a ton of good for his city, and became a "rockstar" before he ever ran for office.
wwtf is wrong with a community organizer anyways? Is she trying to undermine that some people do that? Wow that is wrong and i am offended.
I'm sorry, I wanted to read your comparison, but my massive erection from Sarah Palin is getting in the way.
LOL, exactly right. So how about this... urban community organizer < suburban assistant beer distributor
on a tangent...what if obama's daughter was 17 and pregnant? would there be any shot in hell that obama would have been in this position?
No - I didn't assume that. That's why I made the mistake of responding in a semi-logical way. Unfortunately the correct assumption would have been that you have no genuine interest in learning much of anything on the subject and that your thread is the equivalent of a monkey beating off to banana p*rn.
Hehehehe that's pretty funny.. However, like I said, your own personal interpretation is not my problem.. besides, you've clearly got some issues of your own to deal with there, so.. Never Mind..
not only that, chris matthews took my point even further yesterday, who are associated with community activism in black communities. think about it, who are the names you come up with
Jesse Jackson (-) Al Sharpton (-) MLK (+) Jim Brown (-) Lewis Farrakhan (--) That's a lot of "negatives" to overcome...
Wow, this stillborn thread was entering a state of rigor mortis but we got some serious chances of race-baiting on the way! Oh please please please.....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_...rly_years_as_a_community_organizer_in_Chicago http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Moses http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lewis_(politician) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fannie_Lou_Hamer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ella_Baker I don't know why I bother. There's not a snowball's chance in Hell you will actually read this and say you were wrong to compare him to Jackson, Sharpton, and Farrakhan(Farrakhan, are you freaking kidding me).
Oh man, that would sink him. Btw, very smart of him to get the drug-use stuff out of the way a long time ago. If it came to light during this election season, it'd get all kinds of racial baggage.
