It’s like the WNBA or women’s soccer or …you simply won’t get paid unless the product is top shelf , now if Lebron James wants to extend his career and identify as a woman than we all might watch him score 100 points a game but at the end of the day he is making the money ….right now woke shows such as movies are largely uninspiring and have zero creative content. I just got around to watching John Wick, I was so happy the way they ended it. They woke proofed it, there is no way they can make a She Wick movie where his long lost niece comes into the picture and takes his spot once he is too old and grumpy to continue fighting.

If you actually listen to what the writers are saying and producers for that matter it’s not about content. It’s that writers and actors aren’t getting paid for residuals from streaming . It’s a similar argument to what happened last time there was a writers strike regarding syndication of TV Shows and royalties.

It also has to do with the use of AI. For example a crowd scene requires extras in the background but just by scanning actors once those people could be used repeatedly in the background over and over again. The actors only get paid for the scan. The his could go even further as famous actors can be digitized and it’s possible in future movies long after Tom Hanks is dead rather than hiring a new actor who is a “Tom Hanks” type a movie just uses a digitized version of Tom Hanks.

This is why not only actors who play transgendered characters in non traditional
Relationships along with actors who play in Hallmark and Christian themed movies are striking.
