And I'm not saying everyone that talks **** and has that fire always pans out. However, I'd rather draft Mr. Motivated than Mr. Humble any day of the week. I would rather have healthy Westbrook than healthy Rose.
The same way "WE" compare Teddy Bridgewater to Rodgers and Jesus Christ over in the Teddy thread. Difference is "WE" are just comparing Johnny's and Richard's confidence level all though Richard does a lot of trash talking directed at other players and Johnny didn't. Richard also says a lot of off the wall ****... Don't even know why Richard came up really. He has absolutely no filter on his mouth.
Problem is a healthy rose id better than a healthy westbrook. Manning, rodgers, brees are all mr humbles I will gladly take mr humble
My gut feeling is him and BOB are going to click mcnair will just see dollar signs any player who wants to go number one don't need to impress mcnair it's BOB who they need to impress
Preface: sherman is smart guy and says meaningful stuff, check out his si articles Back to it, there is a difference skillsets and comparing mouth running at different stages of a career....
Meh, i love how he's proud of being from texas... i know i am. Sounds like he knows he will end up in either hou, jax, or cle.
Smart or not _ he still has no filter regardless of what he says... Johnny said what most all young NFL hopefuls say when they get drafted. They want to help the team win a championship and be great. Sherman talks a lot of **** regardless if his intelligence. But yea... Comparing Teddy to Rodgers (like you constantly do) is better when Teddy hasn't touched an NFL field... Gotcha.
NFL hopefuls say stuff like that all the time but not reporters...didn't rg3 do that???? Its comparing skillsets...
I think we end up taking manziel. He'll do great at the combine and have no flags in interviews. Bob knows the Aggie base in the area will bring in mad profits regardless of performance. That will be what pushed manziel over the edge. Everyone thinks Clowney is Mario 2.0 and he is not anywhere near manziel in terms of marketability.
So you're going to bring up RG3 who's only been in the league for 2 years and had a better rookie year than Luck and has done more in his first two years than Matt Stafford... I don't see the logic in that. Comparing skill sets of a college kid playing against weak competition to an NFL player playing against NFL talent... I understand the logic in that but it's ridiculous.
I don't see a problem at all with anything he said. I'm shocked there is a thread about this with responses in a negative way? I'm more confused than anything. What if Manziel said, "there is no possible way I could ever win a super bowl as a rookie". Would people be more OK with that than what he actually said?
I think what manziel is setting up is the interview at the combine BOB is prolly saying ok you little f-bomb lets see what you got. BOB is prolly thinking I can't wait till drill this kid in the intetview from questions about his character and past mistakes to the STUDYING he been doing with odonnell. But on the flip side when manziel handles everything BOB throws at him and knocks the interview out of the ball park the decision will be made it's manziel.
Agreed but i also believe Manziel will prove much more knowledgeable about playing qb. VY didnt have much between the ears. Manziel's wonderlic and whiteboard skills may surprise some coaches and will be a big part of where he will be drafted.
Haven't we been through this "marketability deal" before? Marketability doesn't mean squat if you ain't winning. If Bob cared that much about just turning a profit, than he would've taken VY or Reggie Bush. But the fact that he took who they thought to be the best player, and not the clear cash cow (VY), tells me that they'll do their due diligence and decide based on skill and fit, who the best player to select is. And honestly I think it comes down to TB and Clowney. I think JF will fizzle out like all the other "scrambling" QB's that have come into the league.
