Did anyone have any luck this morning? I checked and they still had a few upper level seats available and some behind the stage, lol.

    And......BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!

Me and my buddy both got online at 10 and were on the phone seeing who could get the best seats for us. He got some good $50 seats but couldn't get his email address in before the clock ran out on him.

So I ended up getting 4 $90 tickets in section 412. Kind of high up (row 13) but at least we're not behind the stage. The bottom line is....

I'm going to be there! What a load off my mind. I've seriously been stressing about this all week!

I'm going. I managed my $90 seats in section 408 in a sort of backdoor way. Not sure the row yet (I think 5?). I could've bought $250 seats and I had my choice of $50 pretty much anywhere, but the $50 tickets weren't very good and the $250...well, they were $250. :)

Looks like the boys have some rehearsing to do before launching this world tour. You know you're in trouble when the drummer is yelling out the key changes. :D

Tour started on Sunday and the reviews are starting to come in. Hopefully You Tube will have some stuff up pretty soon.

I'm not too surprised. This tour was going to be done strictly on Sting's terms, and he was always steering the band away from its original reggae thrash towards what we saw with his solo material. Not shocking at all that this is what we got. Sounds very much in line with the Sting solo renditions of the old songs.

Still, can't mess with So Lonely very much :)

Here's the setlist from the first show:

Not bad. I could do without so much Synchronicity material, but that's a pretty good mix.

That is what I was going to say - that is how he has done them and they are often quite weird (Don't Stand So Close to Me sounds ridiculous in his rearrangement that I have heard most).

Looks like there are already plenty of You Tube videos up from the first 2 shows. Take your pick...

EDIT: Not nearly as bad as that review made it out to be (except for that flaccid version of Every Little Thing She Does is Magic). What does the guy expect from them, the 1977 version? Yes, it would be nice, but that was 30 years ago.

I was kinda hoping that they would play like the Police I remembered growing up.

I am ok to wait for the DVD. Hopefully it will get better.
