Wow... We're a bunch of homers but at least we're self aware enough to acknowledge that. People on that site seem to think that all they have to do is just not foul Harden and everything will be peachy. They do realize that teams foul harden to keep him from going by them and scoring right? Surely they don't think Harden gets 20 FTA's on flops. They can't be that delusional right? I'm not saying he never flops, I'm just saying to assert that James Harden is only an MVP candidate bc he flops is the most Mavs homer statement possible.

Here is the real reason that Mavs fans are the worst (listen up mavs fans, I know you're in here):

Your owner is bratty and so are you.

You have forgotten what is was like to be the tortured fan base who hasn't won anything in a while. You finally win something and you let it go to your heads.

    The reality is this:

Your cornerstone is now a role player (he was amazing in his prime though). You just gave a near max contract to another guy who is a role player. You brought in Rondo who is going to leave in the off season. Monta Ellis hasn't exactly been a happy camper either. You've got very few young players with any upside in the pipeline and haven't drafted anyone worth anything since Dirk. So keep holding out hope mavs fans... Because mediocrity awaits
    you soon.

Meanwhile we'll keep living our miserable lives rooting for our 25 year old MVP candidate.

    Dallas Mavericks Fans:

You, of all people, have no place complaining about a player getting star treatment. None whatsoever. Your loss in 2006 was on YOUR TEAM, not on the referees. Maybe, if your team played a modicum of defense, you would have a legacy of 2 championships like the Houston Rockets have. This lack of defense reared its ugly head again the next year. Potential, potential, potential. Rondo's not happy, Ellis is not happy, Dirk is 37, Parsons IS a role player as the other player said- he's certainly not a franchise player, we all watched him for years and knew that right away- and Tyson is injury-prone. You mortgaged your future for Rondo, and he'll be gone.

I mean, seriously, what hope do you have??? Beyond this year, Dirk will continue to decline and you've got no one else. We will have Harden for several more years and Howard for at least 2 more, not to mention younger players who have potential (you traded yours away). You had better hope you do something this year b/c if we knock you out, as the other poster said, you are DONE for the foreseeable future.

Every team has to go through the Draft at some point. Dallas is no exception.

    Well articulated.

I mean, you just can't say something like this to San Antonio fans. You can tell them, of course, that it's pathetic that a top 10 population city in the U.S. has only one sports team, but you can't really criticize the Spurs organization. But the Mavericks? Oh hell yes. We still have 2 to 1 over them in terms of championships, we have, what, 5 Hall of Famers- plus we've been to the Finals 2 other times, as well, so we have more Finals appearances than them, more HOF coaches, etc. Teams are measured by championships- which is why, as much as I hate obnoxious Lakers fans, when they brag about their 16, what can you say? Same with Spurs fans.

But Mavericks fans have 1 championship to show for all of their supposed "glory." And that they beat us the last time we played, so there's that. But they're seriously a delusional bunch if they think Parsons somehow is going to turn into a Harden. And we're the ones they should ask!!! Good player, occasionally great player, but franchise??? GTFO.

we're experts in knowing mediocre because we were for so long :p

    And those Mavs are mediocre

We also seem to be experts in injuries though, which unfortunately seems we still are.

They are so over confident. Then as a safety net- they say if Mavs lose its on the refs or Mavs fell apart, NOT Houston beating Dallas.

    F off Dallas

Got into it with a MFFL before.

They said that their franchise was more prestigious than the Rockets. I just laughed.

Because seriously it isn't close. Rocket fans do not realize they have it pretty good. They've had a superstar in ever era, have spent very littel time being irrelevant. Have multiple HOF players throughout the year.

The Mavericks are nothing, right now they are some team that got Dirk and are riding that horse dry.

People say Cuban is a great owner but he's got Dirk one championship.

When I rate franchises as a whole I think Championships, MVPs, Playoff wins...the Rockets are over the Mavs in all 3 categories. And hopefully if not this season Harden will be the 3rd MVP for this franchise and more importantly bring another trophy here to Houston.

The Mavs are Dirk, Dirk, Dirk and I feel bad for them if they think that Parsons is going to fill that void.

Mavs fans when their team is against the Rockets...

Preseason: "We got this." Result: Loss.

1st game reg season: "We got this." Result: Loss

2nd game reg season: "We got this." Result: Loss

3rd game reg season: "We got this." Result: Win (See? We own the Rockets!)

4th game reg season: "We got this." Result: Loss

Before playoff series begins: "We got this. We own the Rockets!"

    Obligatory,
    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/K8lqumN6WX0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Create opportunity to allow Harden driving into the paint often. Once Mavs weak defense line collapse with T. Chandler in foul trouble, everything will come alone.

Lol I saw that. Which means expect a fine from Mark Cuban for comments about the refs.
