It could have been a number of things: no trade clauses, deferred money, crazy incentives that Boras wanted that would lead to more years and $$$, and just a whole lot of s*** that they were only trying to get out of Houston because our backs were to the wall.

    Ah well... life goes on.

This sucks ass. Beltran wasn't going to sign with us likely. Now him and satan have handicapped our franchise. All of those FA's out there that we could have gone after. Pupurra said something about looking for something through a trade. Lets just hope we can get out of this huge bind. Seriously, where do we go from here??? I just cant believe this. Pupurra should never ever deal with a Boras client again.

guys, this is on beltran. we made a good offer. boras stonewalled us. purpura said that they didn't hear back from boras until after 10:50 pm tonight. we flat out got stonewalled. beltran's decision. now, I hope he has a career ending injury.

You have to put Beltran on there too. It's his decision.

The running out of time excuse is so weak. Boras and puppet had no intention to sign.

This is a very sad day. We move on.

Well I don't fault Drayton he made a fair offer.

I wish Carlos all the luck in the world. He brought our city into a baseball frenzy back in October. Just came up a tad short. I'll give the guy a standing O when he comes back to Houston, though I excpect I will be one of the few..

    Good luck 'Los

if it IS officially over, it's time to do some damage control. extend Lance and Roy while we are still able to and slowly, but intelligently, build this club over again.

Beltran is a piece of sh@t.

Let's make some trades. I know Drayton has it in him to pull off some unlikely moves.

When Beltran comes to MMP the fans need to show him just what we think of his sorry greedy ass.

Hmm.. no Beltran, no Clemens, no Kent, no Miller, and pretty much no free agents that are really all that. Great.

He had Beltre, Drew and Beltran. All 3 equal a big payday for him and have signed huge deals.
    This is crap.
