    Bottom line is Scott Boras didn't force Carlos to spurn the 'Stros offer....Beltran did it himself.

    I can't believe this.

    I had a bad feeling during the playoffs last year that that was going to be the last time we'd see the Stros deep in the playoffs for a while.

    I just don't see any players out there to fill the gaps left by Beltran, Kent, and likely, Clemens.

    Just don't let him sign with the freaking Cubs.

    I still don't understand why everyone was riding Beltran's jock so much. Aside from a fantastic October, what did he do that was worth $100 million??? Especially for a middle market team??

    Guys....it's not technically over yet....The AP wire isn't exactly on the phone with Drayton and the MLB...We got Randy Johnson after the trade deadline. Could end up the same way here but that could just be wishful thinking......
