I understand that, but Beltran, not Boras makes the final decision. Beltran will go where he wants to go, not where Boras gets the most money. Beltran pays Boras to get the best deal, from the team he wants to play for. As I said, if Beltran doesn't stay in Houston, it was his choice, not Boras'.
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=fanball-padreshammondsigns&prov=fanball&type=lgns This is a guy I would have loved to sign to help bolster our bullpen. I really can't believe, despite his age, that the Padres got him for only $750,000. Wake up Astros...there is other work to be done here...
Sportsbeat plans on calling a Beltran neighbor in Puerto Rico at the bottom of the hour. Not sure what to make of that, but what the hell i'll listen.
I think any anger pointed at Boras should be pointed at Beltran as well. We all knew Boras reputation, and I'm sure the players hiring him know his reputation too. If they didn't want to deal with all this, they wouldn't have hired him. It's brilliant really, they hire Boras to do all the dirty work. Then in the end any backlash ends up pointed towards Boras instead of the actual player.
Don't you think Boras is doing what Beltran wants him to do? Even if Beltran ends up in Houston, I'd have to believe that all this dragging it out and the way Boras has done things has increased his wealth. How much has our offer gone up for Beltran since it all started? I think all of his playing teams against each other has worked or we wouldn't be at the number we are at now.
Maybe it's just me, but I've had "The Good Guys" playing for the past few hours, and may leave it on until 11pm tomorrow night. Maybe (hopefully) longer. http://www.apolloxviii.com/midfi/ I CAN'T BELIEEEEEVE Another Killer B is on this TEEEEEAM Carlos esta Aqui! It's Destiny We've got to keep Beltran The Houston Astros got it going on! Chance, you better get to work on a new one.
Probably so...but do you think Beltran will live at Motel 6 when he is in New York a bare minimum of 83 nights a year? No...he'll buy real estate. Much more expensive than that in Houston...and oh so damned taxable.
