Ok how about instead of hibbert...we just trade Novak to seattle for the 56th pick overall and draft Sasha Kaun. Novak is better than a late second rounder common!

    PG: alston/francis/brooks
    sg: tmac/Miller/CDR or Rush
    sf: battier/Peitrus/Green
    pf: scola/Landry/Hayes
    c: yao/mutumbo/Kaun

:D Eh thats a contender in my books if Miller, Peitrus, Landry, and Francis can produce off the bench giving us a combined 28-30 pts off the bench...Then I think we will be fine.

    Offense-
    Tmac- 22ppg
    Yao- 24ppg
    Alston-11 ppg
    Battier - 8.5 ppg
    Scola- 10.5 ppg
    Francis- 5.5 ppg
    Peitrus- 4.5 ppg
    Miller- 10.5 ppg
    Landry- 7 ppg
    Mutumbo and Kaun- 1.5 ppg

To me that is our rotation.
With more offensive fire power with the pick ups we average around 105 ppg

    Defense
Statistically we aren't trading or losing our main guys on defense. Our Defense actually gets better
Current Players who excel at Defense- Battier, Mutumbo, Yao, and Hayes

New Players: Battier, Mutumbo, Peitrus, Yao, Hayes(if he can crack the lineup)

I see the team getting better defensively and offensively

I really feel no pain from this loss. Last year was disappointing -- this year was just amazing they were there and won as many as they did.

This offseason - guards, athletes, scorers, guards and guards. Also some guards.

I agree, I remember our G7 lost last year I just sat in my room for about 5 minutes thinking about how sad I was, this year, it's not the same feeling.

aint happening if we want to keep our core of Tmac yao and scolandry together.

We dont need a major change. What some posters are saying is right. We need some FA's like pietrius and a healthy SF3 to help out off the bench dring nights we are sturggeling to score.

    Maggette aint happenin.

A fringe third scorer such as Mike Miller is possible however ALOT of teams will be after him especially considering the rebuliding stage Memphis has gone into since the Pau trade.

Clutch. Realistically. what guards could you bring in that are much better than Alston considering the chemistry Alston has already built up with this team. All i can realistically see is Jose Calderon and that is ONLY if Toronto decide to make TJ Ford their outright number 1 pg.

We have plenty of guards, Clutch: Rafer, Tracy, Bobby, Head, AB, Francis.

I think what you meant to say was good TALENTED GUARDS who can do what is in their job description like pass, shoot, and penetrate. They don't have to be great at any of them but ANY guard should be able to do ALL of those things.

They should be able to find a decent, taller two guard in the draft. Luther Head should not return. We have to keep Bobby Jackson as a mid-season trade piece, but, man, he looks done. I have faith in Morey.

I'd rather draft Courtney Lee. CDR isn't a great defender, and Rush seems like he will become a slightly more athletic battier. Also both are more of a SF than SG and T-Mac and Battier can both fill at SF already. Lee while a little less athletic has good def and off. He is also a normal sized SG, so could fill that need we have to guard tall, big PG's or normal SG's. I know he doesn't have the huge upside that people see in CDR and Rush, but if we're trying to win now, I think he would be a better option.

Corey is injury prone, definitely no room for guys like that on this team. And he's only been playing at a high level only for this past season...obviously he just wants to get paid.

I'm hoping for Shawn Marion. Athleticism. Steals. Blocks. Three pointers. Rebounds. Scoring. Dunks. Defense.

As i said to Clutch, who would you suggest we could realistically bring in here to do a better job than what Rafer has done this year considering the chemistry he has built with this. Calderon is the only option IMO but he is a stretch at getting because his value is high.

Rockets need to trade Head and maybe Jackson to get better playmaker/guard.

Rafer played well in the series but I'd give him if we had a chance for a solid playmaker.

Once again: Add SHOOTERS, we need guys who can shot in playoffs.
