    Well,

There isn't ONE point guard out there to have...or is there? Am I missing something?

I watch Harris since he came to the Nets and let me tell you...this dude is GOOOOOOOOD. No way the Nets let him go. Rod Thorn is probably the best GM in basketball.

And I don't think we should trade Battier unless we can get a real star back in the trade. Battier is our pitbull. I hated him at Duke but love him as a Rocket. He scores enough to justify keeping him for his all world defense.

What we need is to stack the team with shooters...either on the bench or one starting position. Mike Miller I like. He is tough as nails when healthy.

Yao needs to stay healthy. No doubt that with him and T-Mac, we are very good. Get a kickass shooter, we become excelllent. I think our bench is set if we keep the current cast.

Where we really lucked out is that somehow we signed Scola. I think this guy is going to be such an awesome player. He is the player you despise on another team and love on your own. He is freakin tough, tough, tough. At PF, I think we are finally set despite some limitations he has on the defensive end.

If the team is healthy next year, I think we can really roll. But, if after NEXT year we repeat the same BS, trade T-Mac and maybe even trade Yao. Do a Dallas Cowboys type trade (Herschel Walker) and get multiple players/picks and rebuild for the future.

TJ is a possibility. I think Hinrich will definitely be moved. Baron, after being benched in the second half of that game, may be a little disgruntled. I still think we need a shooter at the one. A shooter and creator is even better. Hinrich and Baron fit that bill as well as DJ Augustin.

Just look at the players on the Jazz and think about how many of their players would be in our rotation. Now, think about how many of our players could be in theirs.

You see the difference? We haven't had a good enough team to make a judgement on the yao/tmac combo.

if you could trade tmac and garbage for one of the best young bigs and one of the best young PG's it would have been done already. That would probably be a bad trade anyway unless you planned on trading scola and landry because Bosh is gonna play big minutes.

For those that have suggested TJ Ford as a potential point guard... aren't we trying to stay away from the undersized PG who can't shoot?? On top of that, he's an injury waiting to happen. I love his game and I love that he's a hometown boy... but I'm thinking an Andre Miller type would be nice.

we freakin traded rudy gay freakin dang it, he wouldve been our 3rd option scorer and a good one at that too.

sorry i had to get that out, anyways trade rafer, bobby jackson, francis, and get a legit pass-first point guard, why do we get the same type of point guards into our team. We should get a swingman and players who can also create their own shot so tmac doesnt have to do all the work. We need a another big man because of all our undersized power fowards.

I agree with people saying that if we can't add artest or at least add mike miller, we should trade t-mac.

Also, Rudy Fernandez looks like a decent player but not as good as kevin martin imo if thats who he is being compared to. A player i'd like to bring in to upgrade over head would Marco Belinelli

Does anyone seriously believe this team can win a championship without a third star and a major point guard upgrade?

Try and trade Shane for Artest and then do whatever is necessary to get a stud point guard, even if that means giving up Tracy.

    God, I can't believe I actually want Artest in a Rocket's uniform.

Giving up Tmac means the rockets are probably a lottery team next season.

You think Artest+Yao+ an upgrade pg> Tmac+ Yao + Shane?

In fact, if the rockets are willing to give up Shane, they can acquire an upgrade pg. So you basically means Artest > Tmac. I cannot see it. If Artest was that good, the kings would make playoff this season. In fact, I don't think Artest can pass the ball well to Yao. He is not a great playmaker.

Well you do not give up two number 1 picks, a young speedy pt guard, and a good backup center for Jason Kidd. :D

Yeah, actually I do. It depends on the point guard they get for him.

Shane+ Rafer for Calderon + Kapono, this is a trade that both the raptors and the rockets could accept.
