Edit: I think Javie is a good referee, at least much fair than Joey. The league must have felt the pressure of the media and Rockets.

I've never thought that Javie is a good ref, but he is nowhere near as bad as Crawford. He was known for his issues with Clyde.
I like Javie. He's toned it down from a few years ago when he was famous for giving quick technicals. During the regular season the Rockets went 4-2 including 3-0 at home when Javie was an official. When Corbin was an official the Rockets went 3-1 including 3-0 at home. When Garretson was an official the Rockets went 2-1 including 2-0 at home. We're 1-0 in the playoffs with Garretson. Everything is pointing towards a Rockets victory. We still need to go out and execute but we shouldn't have to worry about the officials.
It's been 15 years, since he has reffed a Clyde game. Yao Ming and Artest were preteens. I don't think he will hold it against us.
That thing where Clyde got kicked out for no good reason in Phoenix was Jake O'Donnell's doing. I can't remember anything between Javie and Glyde - did it happen when he was with Houston?
Javie's crews are always among the "loosest" in the league, good for betting unders. It will be interesting because you would think this game would be called tight. Whichever team is most aggressive on defense might have the edge. Javie 38.8 fouls per game this year (2nd lowest) He's the crew chief. Corbin 41.8 Garretson 41.1 Crawford 44.4 fouls for reference (4th highest)

I really disliked Javie back in the day, but I haven't had beef with him in a long time, so I suppose everyone's right in saying he's mellowed.
