Exactly my thoughts...he's suppose to score! He gets plenty of shots and many wide freaking open. I dont' care what you're 'use to getting'...the dude is a professional, he's suppose to make those regardless of what he did last year. I don't know what this BS about his role changing this year is all about...he's getting the same amount of shots as he did last year, if he can't make it in the NBA unless he's getting everything spoon-fed to him he clearly can't cut it. It looks like he's lost his edge...need to let him sit a bit and let him figure out what's important to him.
I am really mystified as to how much Bud has regressed from Year 1 to Year 2. It doesn't make any sense how much his shot has fallen off. I thought he spent most of his summer here in Houston working out with the Rockets staff. He even played summer league and I recall him having a pretty good preseason too! Whatever it is, he needs to right the ship quick because he lucky to still be receiving minutes in the rotation.
He actually blocked a shot tonight and even that was the most feminine block I've ever seen. Almost as if he was trying to be... polite.
Thats pretty much it. If he cant adjust to a new role it just further highlights his crapness. Everyone else has by now, why not him? Good players are able to change and adapt. 20 MPG of Chase = 40 points scored by opposition.
Compared to last year, Bud is getting more shot attempts, more free throw attempts, more assists, and more turnovers per minute. He hasn't been any less involved in the offense. I don't think the shots he's getting are any more difficult. He's just slumping badly, and he's playing with low confidence.
This is beyond a slump. The guy just sucks. Last yr was a fluke. This yr he's really showing why every team passed him up in the 09 draft.
Bud needs to be benched or build his confidence in the D league. I think everyone already agreed with that.
Further reason Adelman looks horrible for not playing Terrence Williams and Morey for trading a first round pick for him? I think so. Great arguments. Terrence should play since we get such garbage time from our SF position. We just waisted another trade if Terrence doesnt get time.
I cant stand the way he plays. I dont believe I've seen one defense possession where he stopped somebody one/one. My main problem is how soft he is and no its a finesse game its straight cotton soft.
He just looks like a school boy in a daze. He needs to work extremely hard in practice to earn his minutes. I wouldn't send him down to the D-League just yet,but he is awfully close to it.
