Saw Morey posted this on tweeter. Came to start a thread "Don't Come Back, Zhou" lulz.

DMo needs one now, too. "Don't come back, DMo"

Zhou needs more experience before he can go back to the Rockets.

His shot looks smoother than it did in his draft workout videos to me. Fully extends and decent form. It's nice that he can try driving from the perimeter, but his handle on the drive at :55 is sloppy. At least he's starting to fill out.

I don't know, looks off to me (especially when he misses)....like he's pushing the ball with an exaggerated wrist flick that isn't quite correct follow-through trajectory. Eric Gordon does a push/flick shot as well, but he's follow-through is more perfectly inline with the path of the ball.

Don't know to describe it better than Zhou's wrist flick results in a high, Swan Neck angle (at least to me, and especially when he misses), and Gordon's follow-through is more towards the target like a Dart thrower/Free-throw shooter.

He's baaaaaack. LOL! For real, if POP, who's a better coach, can find minutes for his younger players on his roster......why can't MDA??

If MDA gave him a consistent 5 to 7 minutes a game, we would be able to see the growth by the All-Star break. He isn't far off. Just needs a yr of playing and another off season of weight training. TURN YOU BENCH LOOSE MDA

I was basing on videos like the one below, though upon closer inspection he actually still has the exact same shooting form. I thought it looked better at first glance, but you're right in that he has the exaggerated wrist flick and not perfectly in line follow through. That's not good.

And this is what I mean by the Swan Neck flick.

Not all players have big wrist flicks like Curry, EGo and Zhou, and it obviously isn't necessarily a bad thing. But Curry and EGo push and flick more at the target, whereas Zhou's is more like the angle of Curry's exaggerated celebration.

isn't Qi's wrist flick more exaggerated b/c he's actually shooting down at the rim? :D

Yeah, I think MDmA needs to pick a game to play heavier minutes with just Zhou or just Troy so they can get 15-20 minutes in. That'll pay dividends later in legs and extra playoff ready contributors.

this Zhou guy needs lots of playing time, he seems pretty lost on the court, but he definitely has good potential

Of course. Anyone with potential to contribute when we need a boost.
